  • Patent number: 10009831
Abstract: A method and apparatus for communicating system information, such as SIBs, from a base station to a terminal in a wireless network such as an LTE network. The base station is configured to broadcast the system information in accordance with a standard which defines a range of allowable values for characteristics of the broadcast. A restricted range of values for the characteristics is defined as a strict subset of the range of allowable values, and repeated broadcasts of the system information are configured in accordance with the restricted range of values. The terminal uses knowledge of the restricted range of values to facilitate reception of multiple repetitions of the broadcast. The terminal then combines the multiple repetitions to facilitate recovery of the system information.

  • Patent number: 9942865
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and a device for synchronously counting a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) service. Through technical solutions of embodiments of the present invention, synchronization time point information is carried in a message sent to a base station by an MBMS coordinating entity (MCE), so that the base station counts the MBMS service at the corresponding synchronization time point, collects the counting information and feeds back the counting information to the MCE. Whereby, the base station can count the MBMS service for each terminal device served by the base station at the same time point and collect and transmit the MBMS service counting information to the MCE, thereby ensuring synchronization of MBMS service counting time, ensuring synchronization of multicast control channel (MCCH) contents at the air interface, and solving the problem that synchronization of MBMS service counting time cannot be ensured in the prior art.

  • Patent number: 9912604
Abstract: In a pipelined network processor, a first stage in the pipeline is responsive to receipt of a pause indication from a third stage. The pause indication is associated with one of a plurality of ports and priority classes of frames advancing through the pipeline. The first stage asserts a hold indication to a second stage in response to the pause indication. The second stage is responsive to the hold indication by marking frames associated with the one of a plurality of ports and priority classes as they arrive from the pipeline at the second stage by returning them to the first stage interface instead of transmitting them to the third stage. The marked frames are stored in memory external to the network processor.
