Abstract: A whipstock assembly includes a whipstock and a non-retrievable setting tool. The non-retrievable setting tool includes a terminal body which is adapted to engage a bottom obstruction. The terminal body mounts a plurality of wedge members for movement radially outwardly as the wedge members are moved downwardly by an internally mounted piston member. The piston member is moved downwardly by an actuating cylinder which is attached to the whipstock. A spring member is positioned between the actuating cylinder and the piston to provide more uniform engagement between the actuating cylinder and the piston as the actuating cylinder and piston move downwardly thus moving the wedge members radially outwardly into engagement with the casing.
Abstract: In a chain driving mechanism a chain runs around a wheel-side sprocket of a set of sprockets and around a pedal crank-side sprocket. The engaged sprocket is located between a sprocket of larger diameter and a sprocket of smaller diameter. The chain is in axial direction adjacent said neighbouring sprocket of larger diameter and projects in opposite direction beyond the neighbouring sprocket of smaller diameter.

Abstract: A power transmission belt having a belt body with a length and a plurality of cogs spaced lengthwise along the belt body for engaging a pulley with which the belt cooperates. Adjacent cogs are configured (i.e. shape, length and pitch) and relatively located (i.e. spaced) so that the adjacent cogs contact each other as the power transmission belt is wrapped around a cooperating pulley having a diameter of 60-130 mm. The space between the cogs is thus temporarily at least partially eliminated. In one form, the cogs squeeze together so that adjacent abutting cogs and the engaged cooperating pulley momentarily define a solid mass so that percussion noise is minimized.
Abstract: A mandrel-operated tension torque anchor for insertion into the casing of a well to anchor the pipe string from rotation and vertical movement. The anchor comprises drive member for cones to operate anchoring slips, which drive member are operatively secured to the mandrel to rotate therewith and threadably secured to the anchor frame so as to cause movement of the cones into anchoring position on rotation of the mandrel in one direction.
