Patent number: 7494106Abstract: A form panel for a round form comprises a form skin, on a backside of which vertically extending profile rails are disposed, with which horizontally extending curved shaping bars are detachably connected. The shaping bars are each formed by at least two, preferably at least four, cast elements, each of which extends over a large portion of a longitudinal extent of the shaping bars and which are held together by shoes, and, due to a curvature-dependent offset between the cast elements in a longitudinal direction of the shaping bars in each instance at least one, preferably at least two, of the cast elements extend up to a particular front-side end of the shaping bars.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 2004Date of Patent: February 24, 2009Assignee: Rund-Stahl-Bau Gesellschaft m.b.H.Inventor: Hugo Mathis

Patent number: 7487560Abstract: The securing layer such as a fitted sheet is modified to provide one half of a fastener, such as a zipper, and a separable, absorbent panel as adapted to overlay the top surface of a mattress and to underlay and be in direct contact of the occupant on the mattress. The separable, absorbent panel includes another fastener portion, such as the other side of a zipper, so as to secure the absorbent panel to the securing layer. The first and second fastener portions are to be located on the side surface of the mattress at the top, outer circumference of the mattress when the securing layer is applied to the mattress. In this manner, the fastener cannot be easily accessed by an infant so as to prevent the infant from loosening and becoming entangled in the absorbent panel. However, the absorbent panel is easily removed for quick changes in case the occupant of the mattress, such as a baby, soils the absorbent panel.Type: GrantFiled: January 6, 2003Date of Patent: February 10, 2009Inventors: Deborah McGrath, Yvonne Goldman

Patent number: 7469515Abstract: A concrete reinforcing bar clip has a pair of arms oriented at an angle of approximately 90°. Each arm has a clamp mounted at each of its ends, thus allowing a worker to push in one direction to attach all four clamps onto two crossed concrete reinforcing bars. The length of the arms adds some stability to the temporary intersection of the concrete reinforcing bars before the concrete is poured. The concrete reinforcing bars may have physical contact in the clamp, also adding to the stability of the joint. One embodiment uses a single tube as one arm.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2005Date of Patent: December 30, 2008Inventor: Jack M. Minor

Patent number: 7455350Abstract: A configuration for sealing or sound-proofing cavities, for example in the vicinity of a chassis or a body of a motor vehicle, includes two half-shells which are separately produced, which can be locked together and which, in an interlocked state, form a free, outwardly open ring-shaped gap in an outer, intermediate peripheral edge region. The ring-shaped gap is inwardly limited by an inner contour on one of the half-shells. A heat-expansible element as a contoured ring-like plate has a form which substantially corresponds to that of the ring-shaped gap formed between the two half-shells on their outer wall. The configuration is material-saving and can be produced and mounted at low cost.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 2004Date of Patent: November 25, 2008Assignee: Henkel KGaAInventor: Uwe Bünte

Patent number: 7275731Abstract: A telescopically adjustable support brace is used to hold concrete form work at the proper linear distance during pouring operations. The brace comprises a pair of crossbars and telescoping adjustable arms that are locked by a pin inserted through aligned apertures. At the distal ends of each arm, a serrated cleat for digging into the form wall and prevent slippage. The cleats are connected to the arms by a threaded rod, permitting fine adjustments via mateable threads. The crossbars are connected by a pivot bolt or hinge. When the bolt or hinge is locked in place, the invention forms a horizontally rigid assembly, holding the concrete form walls or other objects apart. The hinge or bolt is released by drawing of a wire coupled through a retention member on a lock. When released, the brace pivots about the crossbars, permitting easy extraction of the brace from the forms.Type: GrantFiled: January 8, 2004Date of Patent: October 2, 2007Inventor: Edwin K. Shinault

Patent number: 7255516Abstract: An impactor for use with a directional boring machine for replacement of underground pipes includes a bursting head having a rearwardly opening recess and a front end opening that communicates with the recess. An inlet pipe is connected at its front end to a distal end of the drill string and extends into the recess of the bursting head through the front end opening. A striker is mounted for sliding movement along the inlet pipe, and a distributing mechanism responsive to pressure fluid supplied through the drill string and inlet pipe causes the striker to reciprocate in the rearwardly opening recess of the head to deliver forward impacts against the bursting head. The striker and distributing mechanism are mounted in a tubular housing, and a pulling connection is provided by which the impactor can be pulled by the drill string while the striker is delivering impacts against the head in the same direction as a pulling force exerted by the drill string.Type: GrantFiled: July 1, 2005Date of Patent: August 14, 2007Assignee: Earth Tool Company, L.L.C.Inventors: Steven W.
