Abstract: A process for enhancing the optical density of images and the product resulting therefrom. The process comprises forming on a shrinkable substrate an image defined by a plurality of particles and having substantially less than an optimum optical density, and then forming a reduced-size image having a substantially improved optical density by shrinking said substrate with said image thereon.

Abstract: Images are formed by transporting a recording surface bearing an electrostatic latent image adjacent to a spaced parallel surface of a development electrode and supplying a liquid developer between the recording surface and parallel surface of the development electrode at substantially the same velocity as the velocity of the recording surface.
Abstract: A method is disclosed for copying a graphic representation using a uniformly poled pyroelectric material. The uniformly poled pyroelectric material is selectively heated to form a differential charge pattern on the material. The differentially charged material can be used with charged toner particles to form a copy of the graphic representation using techniques well known in the art.
