  • Patent number: 11758561
Abstract: A method for cross carrier scheduling can include: determining that a candidate DCI for a UE schedules a DG PDSCH that at least partially overlaps an SPS PDSCH for the UE, wherein the DCI is configured to be transmitted on a first CC having a first SCS, and the DG PDSCH is configured for transmission on a second CC having a second SCS different from the first SCS; determining a timing gap based on the smallest of the first SCS and the second SCS; determining that an available time between the scheduled SPS PDSCH and the DCI is equal to or greater than the timing gap; cancelling the SPS PDSCH responsive to determining that the available time between the scheduled SPS PDSCH and the DCI is equal to or greater than the timing gap; and transmitting the DCI to the UE.

  • Patent number: 11751124
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method and system for detecting, monitoring and/or controlling one or more of mobile services for a mobile communication device (also referred to herein as a Controllable Mobile Device or CMD), and in particular, when the device is being used and the vehicle, operated by the user of the device, is moving. The present method and system determines whether the vehicle is being operated by a user that may also have access to a mobile communication device which, if used concurrently while the vehicle is in operation, may lead to unsafe operation of the vehicle. If the mobile services control system determines that a vehicle operator has potentially unsafe access to a mobile communication device, the mobile services control system may restrict operator access to one or more services that would otherwise be available to the operator via the mobile communication device.

  • Patent number: 11743726
Abstract: A 5G-based Internet of Things device access method and system, and storage medium. Method includes steps that IoT access platform generates authentication identification of to-be-accessed IoT device according to device identification of to-be-accessed IoT device, and carries out identity authentication of to-be-accessed IoT device through authentication identification, and identity authentication result is sent to to-be-accessed IoT device so when identity authentication result received by to-be-accessed IoT device is that identity authentication is passed, to-be-accessed IoT device accesses IoT access platform and performs encrypted data communication. Method is advantaged in that legal identity of to-be-accessed IoT equipment is verified by taking equipment fingerprint as authentication identifier, and data integrity of to-be-accessed IoT equipment is ensured through access authentication, so illegal terminal is prevented from accessing IoT access platform, and security of data transmission is improved.

  • Patent number: 11716607
Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods that dynamically manage network traffic for individual subscribers based on past and current data usage rates. The disclosed systems and methods operate to control data traffic for a group of subscribers that share a common access network or that share a common access link to an access network. Prior to an individual subscriber reaching their data plan limit, the disclosed systems and methods track individual subscribers' past and current data rates and manage individual subscribers' current usage rates so that each subscriber's continually or periodically updating past usage rate stays within a provisioning rate for the group. This can improve user experience because rather than waiting until a subscriber has reached their plan data limit to impose strict data usage restrictions, the disclosed systems and methods use modest restrictions continuously or intermittently during the plan period.

  • Patent number: 11683746
Abstract: A wireless communication network serves a User Equipment (UE) based on a Data Network Name (DNN). An Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) receives initial signaling for the UE and selects a current Session Management Function (SMF) to serve the UE for the DNN responsive to the initial signaling. The current SMF serves the UE for the DNN. The AMF detects when the UE enters a geographic area while using the DNN. The current SMF transfers a wireless reattach instruction for the DNN to the UE responsive to the detection of the UE entering the geographic area while using the DNN. The AMF receives new signaling for the UE responsive to the wireless reattach instruction and selects a new SMF to serve the UE for the DNN responsive to the new signaling. The new SMF serves the UE for the DNN.

  • Patent number: 11678190
Abstract: According to certain embodiments, a method is performed by a network node for secure handling of early data transmission (EDT) during Random Access (RA) procedure before Radio Resource Control (RRC) setup is complete. The method includes receiving, from a wireless device, a RRC message comprising a resume connection request and data. Based on stored security information, the network node determines that the RRC message is suspicious. In response to determining that the RRC message is suspicious, the network node takes an action.

  • Patent number: 11678197
Abstract: An interface circuit in an electronic device may communicate using communication protocol in a shared band of frequencies. During operation, the interface circuit may perform a scan of available channels in the shared band of frequencies, and may detect one or more used channels in the shared band of frequencies that are reserved or used by another communication protocol (such as a primary channel that is used by both of the communication protocols). Alternatively, the interface circuit may receive, from another interface circuit in the electronic device, information specifying the one or more used channels in the shared band of frequencies that are reserved or used by the other communication protocol. Next, the interface circuit may mask the one or more used channels from the available channels, and the interface circuit may select one or more channels from the remaining available channels for use with the communication protocol.

  • Patent number: 11659387
Abstract: Techniques for preventing sequence number leakage during user equipment authentication in a communication network are provided. For example, a method comprises obtaining a permanent identifier and an authentication sequence value that are unique to user equipment, concealing the permanent identifier and the authentication sequence value, and sending the concealed permanent identifier and the authentication sequence value in a registration message from the user equipment to a communication network. Then, advantageously, in response to receipt of an authentication failure message from the communication network, the user equipment can send a response message to the communication network containing a failure cause indication without a re-synchronization token.

  • Patent number: 11641635
Abstract: Coordinated radio fine time measurement is provided via sending, from a client device, a ranging request to a first radio; receiving a first response sent at a first time from the first radio over a first channel; receiving a second response sent at the first time from a second radio over a second channel; and calculating, based on times of flight for the first response and the second response, a location of the client device relative to the first radio and to the second radio. Coordinated radio fine time measurement is also proved via in response to receiving, at an Access Point (AP), a ranging request from a client device and determining to respond using multiple channels: sending, both at a first time, a first response from a first radio over a first channel a second response from a second radio over a different channel.
