    Abstract: Some of the present implementations provide a method for a first user equipment (UE) to deliver a sidelink measurement report to a second UE. The method receives sidelink measurement configuration through a PC5 radio resource control (RRC) connection between the first and second UEs. The method then generates the sidelink measurement report by monitoring at least one target resource pool allocated to the first UE via the sidelink measurement configuration and transmits the sidelink measurement report to the second UE through the PC5 RRC connection between the first and second UEs. The at least one target resource pool is associated with a first radio access technology (RAT) and the PC5 RRC connection between the first and second UEs is associated with a second RAT.

A synchronization reference signal procedure may be initiated and the first UE may receive a sidelink synchronization reference signal from the second UE using the established receive beam. The UEs may align time and frequency resources for communications between the UEs and the UEs may communicate via the sidelink channel based on the time synchronization, frequency synchronization, or both, determined using the sidelink synchronization signal. In some cases, a sidelink UE may receive multiple synchronization reference signals from multiple sidelink UEs simultaneously, where each synchronization reference signal may include a UE identifier.

    Abstract: Channel covariance feedback is disclosed for enhanced full-dimension multiple input, multiple output (eFD-MIMO) systems. Channel state information (CSI) reference signal (CSI-RS) feedback operations are implemented using spatial covariance feedback of a covariance estimate. After obtaining a set of orthogonal basis vectors, a user equipment (UE) measures the CSI-RS from a base station and determines the spatial covariance matrix from the signal. The UE may then compress the spatial covariance matrix into a lower-dimension covariance estimate matrix using the orthogonal basis vectors. The lower-dimension matrix along with element-wise quantization allows for feedback of spatial covariance for eFD-MIMO systems without excessive feedback overhead.

The UE may estimate a channel of the second SSB based on the decoded first SSB. The UE may remove a reconstructed second SSB from the PDSCH. The UE may decode the PDSCH.
