The processor is configured to determine authentication data, where the authentication data comprises an indication that a first functionality of a second set of instructions can be controlled and where the second set of instructions is separate from the first set of instructions. The processor is further configured to send to a user interface, an indication of the first functionality. The processor is further configured to receive, through the user interface, a request to control the first functionality of a second set of instructions that is separate from the first set of instructions. The processor is further configured to send an order to control the first functionality of the second set of instructions.

Abstract: A integrated electronic networked notary system includes sub-systems of computers to execute biometric analysis, target object information input and analysis, marking and time stamping with an trusted third-party provider to enable an electronic notary process. The system provides for authentication of both the signatories as well as the target objects. The user has the option to either unilaterally self-notarize or to collaborate with others for the purpose of electronically notarizing the target object. For high-value target objects, a selectable display menu can be changed into the semi-automatic mode, whereby, a legal notary person may be present to interface and/or assist the user(s) in their notarization and time stamping process.

Abstract: A mobile insurance architecture includes a wireless communication interface that connects mobile client devices to wireless networks. An insurance server cluster that includes a group of independent network servers operates and appears to mobile client devices as if the group of independent network servers were a single computer server. An adaptive transmission controller communicates with the insurance server cluster and processes content in multiple mobile formats that may be optimized to the screen sizes of the mobile client devices. The insurance server cluster responds to native application clients resident to the mobile client devices. The native application clients contain code stored on a non-transitory media that render insurance quoting services, insurance claims services, on-line insurance policy services, usage based insurance services, mobile monitoring services, or insurance agency management services.

An observed interest by a user in an event is correlated with an identified increase in activity for the event. Abstract: A system and method for straight through payment processing when the merchant is known but the merchant's payment card acquirer is unknown. Payment instructions from a payee to the merchant are normalized for a target acquirer system which is selected either at random, based on business logic and data, or based on successful past straight through payments. Payments are attempted for each acquirer successively until a successful payment notification is received. The link to the merchant and acquirer is then saved for subsequent straight through payments to that merchant.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for processing insurance claims in a manner that reduces or eliminates a need for an adjuster to visit an insured person or property of the insured person. The method includes receiving a query from an insured regarding a claim and determining if the insured has a mobile device with a video camera capable of streaming video to the insurance claim processing system. If a mobile device capable of streaming video is available, the system generates an electronic invitation to a one-way streaming video session and transmits the electronic invitation to the mobile device. Upon acceptance, the system initiates the one-way video session, receives real-time streaming video, and appends received video from the real-time streaming video to a claim workfile. In alternative implementations, the system can remotely control the camera and other features of the mobile device during the one-way streaming video session.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for protecting electronic money transactions from fraud and malware. An exemplary method include scanning a computer to detect software objects associated with electronic money that includes at least one of a wallet configured to store electronic money, an electronic money generating application, and data including an interaction history with an electronic exchange for electronic money; identifying and adjusting electronic money security modules configured to provide data security to the detected software objects associated with the electronic money; and executing, by the adjusted electronic money security modules, at least one electronic money transaction involving the electronic money. In one aspect, the electronic money security modules include a wallet protection module, a malware detection module, and a traffic control module.

The network interface receives requests from at least some of the workstations over the network, each comprising a request to pre-order a respective one of the operations. The requests are stored in the database. The network further receives, over the network, a signal from or on behalf of a slave module of the machine for retrieving one of the requests from the database. The control module processes the signal and in response releases the respective operation, the release comprising issuing an instruction to the slave module over the network controlling the machine to perform the respective operation to handle the cash and/or other physical financial document.

Abstract: The gold and precious metal buying machine and method has a housing, a vault and inboard processing stations for: weighing, detecting constituent elements with x-rays and measuring volume based upon gas or fluid displacement. Weight, elemental data and volume is used to calculate gold weight and discounted market value based upon exchange rate, gold weight and a discount factor. Market value is displayed and if accepted, the system generates payment instruction and vault storage command. A rejection negates the acceptance upon request or error signal and generates rejection command. Machine transports item to various stations and, upon the storage command to the vault, and upon rejection to the item return port in the housing. An air displacement test uses a processor measuring a differential volume and a chambered item at a different pressure by a differential position of a piston movable in the chamber.

Abstract: The hybrid virtual account and token-based digital cash protocols provide a user with many pairs of secret and public keys. One of the pairs is the master pair, which consists of one master user private key and one master user public key. Other pairs are pseudonym pairs, wherein each consists of one pseudonym user private key and one pseudonym user public key. The use of a master key pair and pseudonym key pairs circumvents the need for blind signatures. None of the invention's protocols require blind signatures. The protocols comprise public key protocols, digital signatures and symmetric key protocols.
