Abstract: Pharmaceutical compositions containing: extracts of Tribulus terrestris, Epimedium koreanum, Cinnamon cassia in the weight ratio of 1.5-3.5:1-2:0.1-0.4 respectively; and optionally arginine or a physiologically equivalent ester, salt or precursor thereof. The compositions are useful in the treatment of male and female sexual dysfunctions. A method of treatment using the pharmaceutical compositions is also described.

Abstract: An animal-derived lipid is disclosed that is useful as a carrying agent for anti-microbial formulations. Pharmaceutical and other preparations including Emu Oil are also described as profoundly useful components in anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral treatments. This lipid material is extracted from the Emu (Dromais Novae-Hollandiae), an indigenous bird of Australia and New Zealand. Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of “green” or relatively benign solvents such as ethanol, ethanol/water, isopropyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol/water, ethyl lactate, acetone, butanol, isoamyl alcohol, or ethyl acetate to extract phytosterols from wet corn fiber. Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions comprising Graptopetalum and uses thereof Graptopetalum can protect animals from liver diseases and medical conditions, such as inflammation, steatosis, and fibrosis. In particular, Graptopetalum inhibits proliferation of activated hepatic stellate cells, which play a pivotal role in liver fibrosis. Graptopetalum also has anti-fibrosis activities as well as inhibits proliferation of lung fibroblasts. Therefore, in addition to being a prophylactic and therapeutic agent for the liver, Graptopetalum is useful against fibrosis or inflammation of tissues or organs other than the liver, in particular lung, kidney, and bladder. Other plants in the family of Crassulaceae, particularly Echeveria, have similar effects as Graptopetalum.

Abstract: The invention relates to an active ingredient composition used in cosmetic products, said composition containing vegetable extracts and combating in particular free radicals. The active ingredient composition is an alcohol-based mixture of vegetable extracts that is devoid of liposomes, consisting of between 0.1 and 2 wt. % green coffee-bean extract, between 0.1 and 2 wt. % Camellia sinensis leaf extract, between 0.1 and 2 wt % Pongamia pinnata extract and between 0.1 and 2 wt. % Angelica archangelica root extract and a residual content of a monovalent C2-C5 alcohol to obtain the total of 100 wt. %. Abstract: A topical herbal formulation for preventing and/or treating dyshidrosis (pompholyx), non-responsive to topical steroids. The inhalation of an effective amount of vaporized essential oil from Mentha piperita (peppermint oil) has been shown in practice to prevent, treat, and cure chemotherapy induced nausea.
