  • Patent number: 8762177
Abstract: Embodiments facilitate determining patient preferences with respect to treatment attributes. A set of treatment options, comprising attributes, for a medical condition may be accessed. A first subset of treatment options may be selected and displayed to a patient. An indication may be received from the patient of a most preferred treatment option and/or a least preferred treatment option. Using the indications received from the patient regarding the first subset of treatment options, another subset of treatment options may be adaptively selected. An indication from the patient of a most preferred treatment option and/or a least preferred treatment option of the adaptively selected subset of treatment options may be received. Based at least in part on the indications received from the patient, a utility function may be generated. The utility function may be used to generate, optionally in substantially real-time, scoring and/or ranking information with respect to the plurality of attributes.

  • Patent number: 8751267
Abstract: A medical image processing server, connected with terminals, has an access time obtaining unit, an update time obtaining unit, a determining unit and a data outputting unit. The access time obtaining unit obtains an access start time at which each of the terminals accesses medical image data selected by each of the terminals. The update time obtaining, if each of the terminals issues an update request for edited medical image data, obtains a last update time of the edited medical image data. The determining unit determines whether to generate updated data or copied data of medical image data edited by one of the terminals based on the access start time obtained by the terminal and the last update time obtained by another of the terminals. The data outputting unit outputs the updated data and the copied data based on identification information complying with a predetermined medical protocol.

The method includes obtaining at least first and second image data of a subject and analyzing both the first and second image data to identify at least grid orientation and spacing. Grid suppression is applied to the first and second image data and the grid suppressed first and second image data is pre-processed. The method then combines the grid suppressed first and second image data and decomposes the combined data to obtain one or more diagnostic images for display. The one or more diagnostic images are displayed on a display that is associated with the control logic processor.

  • Patent number: 8649579
Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with removing motion artifacts from MR images are described. One example method includes controlling an MRI apparatus to acquire a fully sampled, centric-ordered, non-interleaved, data set from an object to be imaged and controlling a Generalized Auto-Calibrating Partially Parallel Acquisition (GRAPPA) logic to produce a GRAPPA duplicate of a single partition through the data set. The method also includes computing, from the GRAPPA duplicate, a GRAPPA navigator for a phase encoding (PE) line in the single partition and computing an error between the PE line in the single partition and a corresponding PE line in the GRAPPA duplicate using the GRAPPA navigator. The method also includes selectively replacing data in the PE line in the single partition with replacement data upon determining that the error exceeds a threshold. The method may include reconstructing an MR image based, at least in part, on the single partition.
