Abstract: A banknote recognition and classification method and system are provided. In the method and system, a large number of reliable samples which are easy to acquire currently are used to establish a sample signal degradation model which meets application requirements by means of a statistical method, sample information is input into the banknote sample signal degeneration model to acquire various banknote sample information corresponding to the brand new banknotes to be learned; the various banknote sample information is input to perform classifier learning, and a banknote classification model is output; then a classifier learns to perform classification and recognition on a sample to be recognized.
Abstract: An image-processing apparatus includes a memory in which first image data is recorded, wherein the first image data includes second image data an offset-calculating block configured to calculate an offset when transfer data is read for each row, wherein an amount of position gap between a storage area of data of a first row of the first image data and a storage area of data of a second row includes the offset and wherein the access boundary is a boundary of data capable of being accessed through one access to the memory, a write block configured to write the first image data, a write control block configured to control the write block, a read block configured to read the second image data, a read control block configured to control the read block, and an image-processing block configured to perform image processing on the second image data.
Abstract: In various embodiments, methods, systems, and computer program products for detecting, estimating, calculating, etc. characteristics of a document based on reference objects depicted on the document are disclosed. In one approach, a computer-implemented method for processing a digital image depicting a document includes analyzing the digital image to determine one or more of a presence and a location of one or more reference objects; determining one or more geometric characteristics of at least one of the reference objects; defining one or more region(s) of interest based at least in part on one or more of the determined geometric characteristics; and detecting a presence or an absence of an edge of the document within each defined region of interest. Additional embodiments leverage the type of document depicted in the image, multiple frames of image data, and/or calculate or extrapolate document edges rather than locating edges in the image.
