    Abstract: Rubber compositions are disclosed which are formulated to provide high modulus at 100% and strong adhesion to metal. Chlorinated polyethylene rubber and/or its derivative reformed with maleic anhydride is blended with specified amounts of a 2-mercaptobenzothiazole dicyclohexylamine salt, trithiocyanuric acid and sufur such that formulae (1) and (2) are met ##EQU1## where phr is defined as the amount in parts of the component per hundred parts of component (A) or component (B) or both.

The material is autophotocrosslinkable and is suitable for producing protective coatings and photographic images, with corresponding polyimides being formed after irradiation by a thermal aftertreatment.
