Abstract: An on-line venue provides a communication channel over which buyers can anonymously communicate what product or service they want to purchase by posting an interactive request that a number of sellers/service providers can then directly respond to. This may promote the buyers interests in directly matching their needs with qualified vendors. The on-line venue can then broadcast a buyer's needs to relevant/selected sellers/service providers, who may opt in to receiving buyer details for buyers who are self-qualifying leads to prospective sellers/service providers.

Abstract: Item vectors representing transaction contexts for items are mapped to multidimensional space. A request is received for an alternative to a given item from a resource. The multidimensional space is evaluated to identify closest candidate items to the given item based on the corresponding item vectors. An optimal candidate item is selected from the candidate items based on the request. The association between the given item and the optimal candidate item is injected within a process workflow associated with the resource.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for scheduling processing of an order for goods at a provider location obtains an arrival estimate for when a user associated with the order is expected to arrive at the provider location and uses the arrival estimate to schedule processing of the order. Processing may be scheduled so that completion of order processing is expected to substantially coincide with arrival of the user at the provider location. The method may also obtain an order completion estimate for when processing of the order is expected to be completed and use both the arrival estimate and the order completion estimate to schedule processing of the order. The method may update one or both of the arrival estimate and the order completion estimate. The method may be executed by a networked mobile wireless telecommunication computing device of the user, or by a data processing system associated with the provider.

Abstract: Computer-implemented methods, computer systems, and computer readable media for determining, sorting, or determining and sorting a set of items. The method includes receiving, via a user device, parameter values from a user and receiving parameter weights. The method further includes determining a sort score for each vehicle of a set of vehicles based on the received parameter values and parameter weights, and sorting the set of vehicles based on the sort score of each vehicle of the set of vehicles.

Abstract: Systems and methods for organizing structured items in an e-commerce system are presented. In some aspects, the systems and methods may include a back-end structured item organizing system associated with a front-end category mapping system which is configured to process use case requests. In some aspects, a use case request may identify an item for classification by the back-end structured organizing system. In some aspects, the described systems and methods may select a listing bucket from a set of listing buckets of the back-end structured organizing system based on attribute values indicated in the use case request, and may cause a user interface of the front-end category mapping system to display one or more characteristics associated with items categorized within the selected listing bucket.

Abstract: An online system receives a recipe from a customer mobile device. The online system performs natural language processing on the recipe to determine parsed ingredients. For each of one or more of the determined parsed ingredients, the online system maps the parsed ingredient to a generic item. The online system queries a product database with the mapped generic item to obtain one or more products associated with the mapped generic item. The online system applies a machine-learned conversion model to each of the one or more products to determine a conversion likelihood for the product. The conversion model may be trained based on historical data describing previous conversions made by customers presented with an opportunity to add products to an order. The online system selects a product from the one or more products based on the determined conversion likelihoods and adds the selected product to an order.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided and include a computing device that receives a selection of a song available for streaming from the music streaming server and transmits a query to the music streaming service server for a musical attribute associated with the selected song. The computing device receives the musical attribute and determines a paint color associated with the selected song based on the musical attribute. The computing device displays the determined paint color and a name and identification code of the paint color on a display of the computing device. The computing device outputs the selected song to a speaker of the computing device while displaying the determined paint color on the display of the at least one computing device.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for a commerce platform providing proof of application ownership of a network distributable application are described. The method may include receiving a request to approve an application developed by a merchant system, wherein the application includes an application programming interface (API) component, a software development kit (SDK) component, or a combination thereof provided by the commerce platform to the merchant system. The method may also include generating a unique identifier (ID) for the application to be included as metadata within the application. Furthermore, the method may include obtaining, from an application information system, data describing the application, and extracting an ID from metadata in the data obtained by the application information system.

Abstract: This disclosure describes a system for fulfilling items at a materials handling facility. In some instances, a predicted items list that identifies items that are likely to be picked by a user are determined and, when the user arrives at the materials handling facility, those predicted items are presented to the user for selection. For example, predicted items may be determined and an inventory holder that holds one or more of those predicted items may be retrieved by a mobile drive unit (such as a Kiva mobile drive unit) and presented to the user at a retrieval area. The user may pick the items they desire from the presented inventory holder.
