Abstract: A vehicle air filter housing having a broad band tuner. The housing is formed from a tray having a divider wall defining an unfiltered air induction chamber and a tuner chamber. A cover securable to the tray includes a second divider wall defining a filtered air chamber and a flow path chamber. A filter member provides a seal between the tray and the cover, and holds an air filter between the unfiltered air chamber and the filtered air chamber. A plate securable to the flow path chamber has a plurality of perforations. Air inducted through the inlet passes through the air filter and flows through the flow path chamber at a velocity whereby the filtered air passes over the perforated plate and predetermined frequencies pass through the plate perforations for attenuation in the tuner chamber. The tuners in the tuner chamber may be sized to attenuate different frequencies.

Abstract: An exhaust and filtration assembly includes: a housing; an exhaust vent configured to guide unfiltered air out of the exhaust and filtration assembly; a filter assembly configured to filter air and guide the filtered air out of the exhaust and filtration assembly; an exhaust assembly configured to direct raw air from an entry port of the exhaust and filtration assembly and direct air out of the exhaust vent without the air having been filtered; and a controller comprising computing logic configured to control so that only one of air filtration and raw air exhaust occurs at any given time.

Abstract: Throughput is preserved in a distributed system while maintaining concurrency by pushing a commit wait period to client commit paths and to future readers. As opposed to servers performing commit waits, the servers assign timestamps, which are used to ensure that causality is preserved. When a server executes a transaction that writes data to a distributed database, the server acquires a user-level lock, and assigns the transaction a timestamp equal to a current time plus an interval corresponding to bounds of uncertainty of clocks in the distributed system. After assigning the timestamp, the server releases the user-level lock. Any client devices, before performing a read of the written data, must wait until the assigned timestamp is in the past.

Abstract: A method for restricting reception of e-mail messages from a sender of bulk spam mail includes identifying an unknown sender of received e-mail messages. A set of e-mail messages received from the identified sender is selected. A type of bulk spam mailing is determined based on the selected set of e-mail messages using one or more spam identification signatures. Restrictions on reception of e-mail messages from a sender distributing bulk spam of the determined type are generated.

An example method includes receiving a topology definition describing a topology of an event streaming platform, and generating, based on the topology definition, a Directed Acyclical Graph (DAG) that represents a data plane of the event streaming platform. The method also includes generating, via a processing device, a simplified data plane pathway based on the DAG, wherein the simplified data plane pathway eliminates intermediate hops between an event source and a final event destination described by the topology definition.

The HVAC home air filter a supportive frame having a shape and size suitable to orient the HVAC home air filter within a residential HVAC system. A filter medium is retained within the supportive frame to remove the airborne molecular contaminants and VOCs from air flowing through the residential HVAC system. The filter medium is a combination of media layers configured to exhibit a relatively high filtration efficiency and a low air pressure drop across the filter medium. The supportive frame comprises a plurality of elongate sections and corner sections disposed along perimeter edges of the filter medium to support the filter medium within the residential HVAC system so as direct air through the filter medium.

Abstract: A compressor system includes a compression module having an inlet for receiving air; and a filter housing in fluid communication with the compression module. The filter housing is constructed to house a filter, the filter having a sealing feature disposed at a first end of the filter and having an engagement feature disposed at a second end of the filter opposite the first end. The filter housing includes a trap door constructed to contact the engagement feature, and constructed to drive the engagement feature in a direction parallel to an axis of the filter toward the sealing feature and urge the sealing feature into sealing engagement with the filter housing.
