  • Patent number: 11960296
Abstract: A method executable by an autonomous mobile device includes moving in a work environment, obtaining environmental data acquired by a sensing device, and determining whether the sensing device is in a suspected ineffective state based on the environmental data. The method also includes based on a determination that the sensing device is in the suspected ineffective state, rotating at a same location for a first predetermined spin angle. The method also includes obtaining an estimated rotation angle based on one or more motion parameters acquired by a dead reckoning sensor, comparing the estimated rotation angle with the first predetermined spin angle, and based on a determination that a difference between the estimated rotation angle and the first predetermined spin angle is greater than a first predetermined threshold value, executing escape instructions to move backwardly for a first predetermined distance and move along a curve or a folded line.

  • Patent number: 11940793
Abstract: Validating a component of an autonomous vehicle may comprise determining, via simulation, a likelihood that operation of the component will result in an adverse event. Such simulations may be based on log data developed from real world driving events to, for example, accurately model a likelihood that a scenario will occur during real-world driving. Because adverse events may be exceedingly rare, the techniques may include modifying a probability distribution associated the likelihood that a scenario is simulated, determining a metric associated with an adverse event (e.g., a likelihood that operating the vehicle or updating a component thereof will result in an adverse event), and applying a correction to the metric based on the modification to the probability distribution.

  • Patent number: 11926187
Abstract: Technologies and techniques for producing a yawing movement in order to control the driving dynamics of a vehicle. A target yawing movement of the vehicle is determined from a target yaw rate preset by a preset steering angle, such that the vehicle can pass through the preset steering angle at the current vehicle speed, and the target yawing movement being divided into a steering yawing movement produced by the steering system, a rolling yawing movement and a drive yawing movement, wherein the rolling yawing movement is divided into individual rolling yawing movements of the individual wheels, which can be variably set.

  • Patent number: 11919263
Abstract: A method for the weight-dependent control of the internal pressure of a supporting body loaded by a weight load or payload, wherein the internal pressure is produced by means of an electric-motor-driven compressor, and the weight load or payload which is present and which acts on a supporting body in the form of a mass mLoad under the effect of acceleration due to gravity g is determined in that a reduction and a subsequent increase in the internal pressure take place, wherein the increase in the internal pressure causes the position of an application point of the weight load or payload to change by a position difference ?Z, wherein: during the increasing of the internal pressure by means of the compressor, the motor current ILoad of the drive motor of the compressor is measured with a constant motor voltage U and integrated over the time of the increase in pressure, and the electrical work WLoad which is necessary for the change in position is determined therefrom, wherein the electrical work WLoad the el

  • Patent number: 11898868
Abstract: A system for identifying redundant road lane detections in map data and subsequently updating the map data to remove the redundant road lane detections is provided. The system may be configured to determine, based on sensor data, a plurality of road lane detections associated with a road link represented by the map data. The system is further configured to determine a cluster for the road link based on a clustering criterion. The system is further configured to establish a plurality of road lane detection groups based on connectivity of the road lane detections in the cluster. The plurality of road lane detection groups is evaluated to identify one or more redundant road lane detections based on one or more of a parallel-detection criterion or a heading difference criterion. The identified redundant road lane detections are used to update the map data by a computer-implemented update process.
