  • Patent number: 9852334
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting a moving object is provided. In the apparels, a moving object, such as a pedestrian, is imaged repeatedly. As a dictionary, image patterns indicative of features of the moving object are stored in a storage in advance. Feature points indicating a position of an object in the images are extracted based on the images. An optical flow of the feature points is calculated based on the features points. The feature points are grouped and a reference rectangle encompassing the grouped feature points is set, based on the optical flow. An identification region encompassing a region showing the moving object is set, the identification region encompassing the reference rectangle. The moving object is identified in the identification region, using the dictionaries. The region of the moving object is specified, based on identified results and an image region having the highest degree of match with the dictionaries.

  • Patent number: 9832517
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described that provide a mechanism for transferring and/or synchronizing playback of media content from one media device to another in a seamless fashion. A media device 102 may be arranged to detect playback of media content from another media device 104. The media device 102 captures a portion of the media content being played back and identifies the captured media content and content provider 106a. The media device downloads or streams the identified media content from the content provider 106a, while also synchronizing playback of the identified/downloaded/streamed media content on the media device 102 with the playback of the media content on the other device 104. The media content may be embedded with a digital watermark for identification of the media content and the content provider 106a. A machine-to-machine platform 108 may assist in identifying the media content and content provider 106a from the captured media content.

  • Patent number: 9799374
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for new analytic pathways for collecting information regarding video playback by human (and automated) users. This is achieved in part by placing certain elements (Vixels) within the code of a video file prior to it being uploaded by a user who shares the video. Whenever and wherever the video is played, whether it is streamed once, downloaded and played several times thereafter, or played for a mass audience, the analytic pathway is triggered each and every time the video file is played because the elements triggering the collection of analytics exist in the video file itself. By embedding Vixels into video files at or before upload, the analytics mechanisms are triggered by the embedded Vixel regardless of how, where, when, and by whom the video is played back, forming the framework for a simpler and more accurate analytics network.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to systems and methods of recording video frames from a computing device by a management device. The management device may receive video frames from the computing device. In response to receiving the video frames, the management device may process the video frames in a first-in-first out (FIFO) order to generate processed video frames according to a recording method, store the processed video frames in the FIFO order in the memory of the management device, and then release the memory occupied by some of the processed video frames in the FIFO order based on a memory releasing condition defined by the recording method to store the processed video frame. The memory releasing condition is determined by multiple optimized parameters of the recording method. The recording method may be a sliding window recording method, a multiple-window fixed size recording method, or a multiple-window dynamic size recording method.
