Abstract: Provided is an image processing apparatus that efficiently performs time-divisional image processing tasks related to image formation of an image forming apparatus. A time division determination unit configured to determine and switch which of divided work items to execute based on execution time in a condition where at least one first task to be processed at a specific pace and at least one second task to be processed at best effort are respectively divides into smaller work items. A task execution unit executes the work item switched by the time division determination unit in a time division. This work item uses something as like first band data and second band data.
Abstract: According to some embodiments, a printer capability acquiring unit of a general-purpose printer driver acquires, from a printer, definition information (definition for acquisition of apparatus-specific definition) for information acquisition specific to the printer, using definition information for information acquisition (definition for acquisition of apparatus-common information) commonly usable for various printers and independent of vendors or models, acquires, from the printer, configuration information specific to the printer, using the definition for acquisition of apparatus-specific information, and saves the configuration information in an extended information storage unit for each printer. The general-purpose printer driver controls the printer using the configuration information for the printer saved in the extended information storage unit.
Abstract: A printing apparatus that prints an image on a sheet includes at least one memory that stores a set of instructions, and at least one processor that executes instructions, of the set of instructions, to cause the printing apparatus to perform operations including receiving a print job for instructing printing of a plurality of pages, in which a plurality of copies, each including one or more pages, is included, determining a number of copies based on a number of pages in the plurality of pages and attribution information indicating a number of pages per a set of pages to be printed, and displaying a screen that includes information indicating the determined number of copies.

In the obtaining process, the computer obtains a radiographic moving image showing a motion of a specific part of an examinee. Abstract: Embodiments facilitate the management of security certificates for third-party services being used to print documents from kiosks in public locales. The system establishes a gateway connection between a cloud-based host server, the third-party service, and the kiosk. When a user wishes to use the third-party service to print a document requested through the kiosk, the host server obtains the security certificate and installs the certificate in the kiosk. The kiosk may then request the document from the third-party service which forwards the document upon authentication of the security certificate details registered in the kiosk.
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a memory and an arithmetic device. The arithmetic device acts as a registerer, a storage device, and a deleter. The registerer registers a user. The storage device stores function information related to a function to be utilized by the registered user, in the memory in association with the user. The deleter deletes, when one of a plurality of events, defined as triggers for reducing a number of the users registered by the registerer, has occurred, the registration of one or more users and the associated function information, according to a rule corresponding to the event that has occurred. The deleter keeps from deleting, when the event that has occurred, out of the plurality of events, makes the user whose registration has been deleted highly likely to be reregistered, the function information associated with the user whose registration is deleted.

Abstract: A print media detection apparatus may include a movable scanner bar for scanning media, a feeder tray for supplying the print media, a print media indicator and a controller. The print media indicator may include a first portion to interact with the print media within the feeder tray and a second portion coupled to the first portion to move in response to movement of the first portion. The scanner bar is to sense the second portion of the media indicator. The controller is to determine a characteristic of the print media within the feeder tray based upon sensing of the second portion by the scanner bar.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes: a setting unit that makes authentication print settings such that when authentication information is inputted after image data is received, printing is executed based on the image data; and a transfer unit that, when the image data is received with the authentication print settings, in response to input of the authentication information, transfers the image data to a different apparatus, and when the image data is received without the authentication print settings, transfers the image data to the different apparatus regardless of input of the authentication information.

Abstract: For a plurality of types of print media, a pre-trained model is prepared, the pre-trained model being generated by machine learning based on spectroscopic information of an unprinted area on the print medium and an identifier indicating the type of the print medium and using the identifier as a trainer. The spectroscopic information of the unprinted area on the print medium to print on is acquired. The acquired spectroscopic information is applied to the pre-trained model. Using a result thereof, auxiliary information about the type of the print medium is outputted. A specification of the type of the print medium using the outputted auxiliary information is accepted. When the type of the print medium is thus specified, printing is performed using a print condition suitable for the print medium.
Abstract: A multi-function device (MFD) is disclosed. For example, the MFD includes a communication interface to establish a communication path with an authentication server, a user interface to receive document control information for a document to be generated, a processor, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a plurality of instructions. The instructions when executed by the processor cause the processor to generate a machine readable code that contains the document control information for the document and print the machine readable code onto the document that is printed by the MFD.
