Abstract: In various embodiments, a hazard detector may be presented. The hazard detector may include at least one hazard detection sensor that detects a presence of at least one type of hazard. The hazard detector may include a speaker, a light, and a motion detection sensor that detects motion in an ambient environment of the hazard detector. A processing system of the hazard detector may be configured to select an illumination state based on a determined status. The processing system may cause the light to illuminate based on the selected illumination state. The processing system may determine a gesture has been performed in the ambient environment of the hazard detector following the light being illuminated based on the selected illumination state. The processing system may output a detail of the status via the speaker corresponding to the illumination state in response to determining the gesture has been performed.

Abstract: Methods and systems, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for providing an indication of a direction a person passes through a door in a property, the method including receiving, at a sensing device and from a control panel of an alarm system in a property, instructions to provide an indication of a direction a person passes through a door in the property; obtaining motion data using a motion sensor that is included in the sensing device; detecting the opening of the door using a magnetometer included in the sensing device; based on the obtained motion data and detected opening of the door, determining a direction a person passed through the door; and providing, to the control panel, an indication of the direction the person passed through the door.
Abstract: A system for remote volumetric sensing, reporting, analysis, and alerting utilizing linear distance sensing, an electronic messaging communications protocol, a digital data transmission protocol, an automated data message reading and distribution system, an interactive web site user interface for both accessing user data and reviewing, remotely administering and configuring an automated remote sensor analysis and reporting system with integrated monitoring and alerting functions.
