Abstract: A perfluoropolyether, a composition comprising the perfluoropolyether, a process for producing the perfluoropolyether, and a process for improving the thermostability of grease or lubricant are provided. The perfluoropolyether comprises perfluoroalkyl radical end groups in which the radical has at least 3 carbon atoms per radical and is substantially free of perfluoromethyl and perfluoroethyl end groups. The process for producing the perfluoropolyether can comprise (1) contacting a perfluoro acid halide, a C2-to C4-substituted ethyl epoxide, or a C3+ fluoroketone with a metal halide to produce an alkoxide; (2) contacting the alkoxide with either hexafluoropropylene oxide or tetrafluorooxetane to produce a second acid halide; (3) esterifying the second acid halide to an ester; (4) reducing the ester to its corresponding alcohol; (5) converting the alcohol with a base to a salt form; (6) contacting the salt form with a C3 or higher olefin to produce a fluoropolyether; and (7) fluorinating the fluoropolyether.

Abstract: The present invention relates to amorphous and polymorphic forms of sodium 4-[(4-chloro-2-hydroxybenzoyl)amino]butanoate and their use for facilitating the delivery of active agents, such as insulin, to a target.
Abstract: New salts of Meldonium, the method of their preparation, and pharmaceutical formulation on their basis have been described. The general formula of these salts is X?(CH3)3N+NHCH2CH2COOH where X? is an acid anion selected from the group of pharmaceutically acceptable acids. Practically non-hygroscopic and/or increased thermal stability and/or lasting action Meldonium hydrogen salts of fumaric acid, phosphoric acid, oxalic acid, maleic acid, and pamoic acid as well as Meldonium orotate and galactarate are especially suitable. Novel pharmaceutical formulations containing non-hygroscopic and/or increased thermal stability and/or and/or lasting action 3-(2,2,2-trimethylhydrazinium) propionate salts for oral parenteral, rectal, and transdermal introduction are concurrently described.
Abstract: A method for removing permanganate-reducing impurities from an acetic acid product is disclosed. The method comprises contacting an acetic acid product containing permanganate-reducing impurities with peracetic acid and an oxygen-containing gas. The method is particularly suitable for post treatment of acetic acid that contains permanganate-reducing impurities such as crotonaldehyde.
