  • Patent number: 11132748
Abstract: A computer implemented method for mining risks includes providing a set of risk-indicating patterns on a computing device; querying a corpus using the computing device to identify a set of potential risks by using a risk-identification-algorithm based, at least in part, on the set of risk-indicating patterns associated with the corpus; comparing the set of potential risks with the risk-indicating patterns to obtain a set of prerequisite risks; generating a signal representative of the set of prerequisite risks; and storing the signal representative of the set of prerequisite risks in an electronic memory. A computing device or system for mining risks includes an electronic memory; and a risk-identification-algorithm based, at least in part, on the set of risk-indicating patterns associated with a corpus stored in the electronic memory.

  • Patent number: 11093868
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, that enable clients to create custom conditional segments on which other clients can claim a spot. In one aspect, a front-end server receives, over a data communication network and from an electronic device of a creator, one or more data packets that specify attributes of a segment created by the creator through a graphical interface presented at the electronic device. A back-end server detects, based on data received from the device, interaction with an interface control that designates the segment as a conditional segment and, in response obtains, from the device, an expiration time specifying how long the conditional segment is available to others. After obtaining the expiration time, clients are notified that the conditional segment is available and enabled to claim a spot on the conditional segment through a client-side application.

  • Patent number: 10970724
Abstract: In one example, a processor may generate a graph of vertices representing distribution areas of a telecommunication network and links between vertices of adjacent distribution areas, calculate similarity measures for the links based on distance scores between vertices joined by the links relating to: percentages of aerial infrastructure and percentages of multi-unit buildings in distribution areas represented by the two vertices, and whether or not the distribution areas represented by the two vertices are on a same route from a central office of the telecommunication network. The processor may label the links with the similarity measures to create a link-weighted adjacency graph, perform community detection on the link-weighted adjacency graph to generate sub-graphs, each sub-graph including at least one of the vertices, and provide a map of construction zones based upon geographic areas covered by distribution areas associated with vertices in the sub-graphs.

  • Patent number: 10956465
Abstract: Systems and methods for processing qualitative responses from a plurality of user devices whereby a selection of a next thought object, to deliver to a first user device, may be based on a plurality of qualitative responses received from a plurality of user devices. In a preferred embodiment, a thought object selection computer may compute the selection by determining a filtered set of thought objects by custom selection. In some embodiments, if the quantity of the filtered set of thought objects is greater than a pre-configured amount the selection may be computed by randomly selecting a subset of the filtered set of thought objects. Further filtering the filtered set of thought objects by determining one or more least seen thought objects, and selecting a most diverse thought object, updating the filtered set of thought objects and sending the filtered set of thought objects to the first user device.

  • Patent number: 10891639
Abstract: Participant-provided qualitative or comment-style responses to inquiries may be processed to generate processed responses, which may then be evaluated by participants for ranking. The processed responses may reflect groups of similar qualitative responses to, among other things, simplify and reduce the amount of data that needs to be reviewed by the participants for ranking. On the other hand, the processed responses may have a one-to-one correspondence with the qualitative responses, and the grouping of similar responses may occur after the participant ranking. Grouping after participant ranking may have the benefit of, among other things, simplifying the grouping, as only highest ranked responses may need to be grouped.

  • Patent number: 10801842
Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with a shortest path engine for warehouse management are described. In one embodiment, a method determines a shortest path between a first location and a second location. The method includes receiving a request for a shortest path between a first location and a second location and accessing a first data structure. The first data structure maps the first location to a first reference point and the second location to a second reference point. A shortest path between the first reference point and the second reference point is determined and the determined shortest path is returned.

  • Patent number: 10636047
Abstract: A customer database system may store historic customer satisfaction information. A CSR terminal may facilitate an interaction between a service representative and a first customer, and a survey platform may: (i) detect that the CSR terminal is currently interacting with the first customer and that the first customer has an entry in the customer database system, and (ii) automatically trigger an analytics action at the CSR terminal. A relational database may receive solicited customer feedback information along with a structured escalation level category entered via the analytics action. The solicited customer feedback information may be parsed into unstructured text, and a big data application platform may: (i) execute an algorithm to assign a sub-category to the first customer interaction based on the unstructured parsed text, and (ii) assign the solicited customer feedback to positive, neutral, and/or negative sentiment pools.

  • Patent number: 10346889
Abstract: In some examples, a service provider may receive, from a buyer device, an order for an item from a merchant for delivery to a delivery location. The service provider may determine predicted courier travel times to the merchant location and from the merchant location to the delivery location, and may determine a first payment amount based on the predicted courier travel times. The service provider may further predict other courier time associated with the order, other than travel time, such as based on a courier wait time associated with the merchant. The service provider may determine a second payment amount based on the predicted courier other time. The service provider may send, to a courier device of a courier selected to deliver the order, information about the order including a payment amount for the order based on the first payment amount and the second payment amount.

  • Patent number: 10127508
Abstract: A salesperson may be paid commissions for products sold from the inventory of a merchant. In some examples, the commissions for different products may be determined and changed dynamically, throughout the course of a business day, in response to changing sales rates and inventory conditions. Specifically, commissions may be changed to increase the sales rates of certain products over others. As an example, it may be desired to increase the sales rates of products having relatively high inventory counts and/or that are nearing the expiration of their shelf lives. The changing commission amounts are published or advertised to the salespersons throughout the day so that the salespersons can see which products will produce the highest commissions. The commissions may be paid electronically, immediately or soon after the transactions in which the commissions were earned.
