Abstract: An apparatus for applying a variable pricing model for a service includes a user device configured to send a request for the service, a processing server within a resource infrastructure, wherein the processing server is configured to receive the request from the user device, and a resource management module associated with the resource infrastructure and the processing server. The resource management module is configured to detect current system utilization of the resource infrastructure connected to the user device, calculate a current price of the service based on current system utilization, and forward the current price to the user device requesting the service.
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of managing route transactions in an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is provided. The method includes calling a route form from an ERP server. The route form graphically illustrates at least one of a plurality of related tables corresponding to route processes, as well as an approval control input element to approve of a route transaction corresponding to the route processes. Upon receiving a user input at the approval control input element of the route form, the route transaction can be approved. Then, the method includes automatically implementing route transaction executing steps to each of the plurality of related route tables.
Abstract: There is provided a contents distribution method in which burdens imposed on a distribution service provider and a contents user are lightened so that the contents user can use contents as many as possible at low cost. A system comprises terminal apparatuses 1, a portal server 3, a contents DB 4, a contents distribution server 5, a cabinet management server 6, and an accounting server 7. The cabinet management server 6 manages the contents usable limit and contents storage status of each of the terminal apparatuses 1. The portal server 3 and the cabinet management server 6 cooperate with each other to generate the contents usable limit for each terminal apparatus 1 and instruct the contents distribution server 5 to distribute contents in accordance with a contents distribution request given from the terminal apparatus 1.
Abstract: A method and system for protecting product information stored in a wireless tag. The product information relates to a product and includes a unique identifier that is unique to the product. The product information is received from the tag. A local identifier is generated according to a predetermined rule such that the received product information corresponds to the local identifier. The local identifier is not unique to the product. The received product information is sent to a product information recording medium physically separated from the tag in order to store the received product information in the product information recording medium. The local identifier is sent to the tag and replaces the product information stored in the tag.

Abstract: Systems and techniques for operating on data representing an account include posting an activity record representing account activity. The systems and techniques may involve setting an activity date for an activity having an accounting impact, determining a balance value, setting an accounting impact date, and setting a journal activity date. The balance value may correspond to the net sum of activity for the activity date. The accounting impact date may correspond to the latest accounting impact date among all journals affecting the balance value. The journal activity date may correspond to the latest accounting impact date among all journals affecting the sum of activity for prior processing dates applied on the date. In some cases, the activity record may be posted to a specific period.

Abstract: Methods and devices provide mode switching in order to secure cash handling devices. A cash handling device allows a first selection to be input in order to request an exchange transaction. Currency may be inserted into the cash handling device. A display may prompt a user to identify one or more requested denominations of currency. A user may then identify one or more of the requested denominations for the exchange transaction. Elapsed time may be counted after prompting the user to identify denominations. If the elapsed time exceeds a timeout threshold, the transaction may be switched from an exchange transaction to a deposit transaction and the inserted currency may be credited as a deposit into an account. Otherwise, the exchange transaction may proceed and the currency may be provided in the requested denomination.
