  • Patent number: 11212808
Abstract: Methods and systems provide for coordinated control between multiple devices of playback of a media track or playlist. The multiple devices may form an ad-hoc network for sharing control of media. A control device may coordinate control of the playlist and facilitate playback of the media at a playback device. Then when the control device leaves the group, a second device in the group will seamlessly become the control device and control playback and playlist coordination. The playback device may also be the control device. The playback advice may be a network-enabled speaker. Where the playback device is separate from the control device, the playback device may maintain sufficient information to operate without a control device until a new control device is selected.

  • Patent number: 11206511
Abstract: A first cell device obtains, from a second cell device, multicast information associated with the second cell device, where a first wireless coverage area associated with the first cell device at least partially overlaps a second wireless coverage area associated with the second cell device. The first cell device transmits the multicast information to an element management system, and receives, from the element management system, an instruction, generated based at least on the multicast information, to not use one or more subframes, associated with a multicast transmission session associated with the second cell device, to transmit during the multicast transmission session. The first cell device determines, after receiving the instruction, that the multicast transmission session has been initiated, and causes the first cell device to not use the one or more subframes to transmit during the multicast transmission session associated with the second cell device.

  • Patent number: 11184796
Abstract: A network processor may receive a request from an endpoint device to increase a priority of traffic associated with a first quality of service class indicator, which is associated with a first packet data session quality of service label, and may increase the priority of the traffic in response to the request by sending an instruction to a network element to adjust a mapping of the first quality of service class indicator to a second packet data session quality of service label for the traffic. The network element may label packets in the traffic with the second packet data session quality of service label instead of the first packet data session quality of service label, and components of the network may process the packets labeled with the second packet data session quality of service label with a greater priority than packets labeled with the first packet data session quality of service label.

  • Patent number: 11178698
Abstract: Techniques for performing random access in a wireless communication system are presented. For instance, the present disclosure includes an example method that includes determining a transmission power with which the UE (102) is to transmit a random access preamble while operating within a certain coverage enhancement level. In some examples, the transmission power is determined as a function of a target receive power with which the random access preamble transmission is targeted to be received by a network node (106), and a path loss between the UE (102) and a network node (106). In addition, the method includes transmitting the random access preamble using the determined transmission power while operating within the certain coverage enhancement level.

  • Patent number: 11171691
Abstract: A communication device includes a donor receiver that receives a first beam of input radio frequency (RF) signals from a base station or a network node. The communication device further includes a service transmitter that transmits a second beam of RF signals in a first radiation pattern to a user equipment (UE). The communication device further includes control circuitry that detects an amount and a direction of echo signals at the donor receiver. The control circuitry applies polarization to the second beam of RF signals transmitted to the UE and calibrates the polarization to minimize the echo signals at the donor receiver. A second radiation pattern is generated for the second beam of RF signals and communicated to the UE based on the calibrated polarization. The communication of the second beam of RF signals in the generated second radiation pattern further reduces the echo signals at the donor receiver.

  • Patent number: 11063869
Abstract: An ARP table management system maps destination addresses to next hop addresses using ARP entry and egress tables and, when the ARP egress table is full, performs those mappings in double-entries in the ARP entry table. When a second destination address is identified that is associated with a first next hop address mapped to a first destination address in a first double-entry in the ARP entry table, a second next hop address is identified in the ARP egress table that is mapped to only one third destination address in the ARP entry table. The third destination address is then mapped to the second next hop address in a second double-entry in the ARP entry table, and each of the first destination address and the second destination address in respective ARP entry rows in the ARP entry table are mapped to the first next hop address in the ARP egress table.

  • Patent number: 11044202
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for multi-level classification of data traffic flows based in part on information in a first data packet for a data traffic flow. In exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure, a key can be generated to track data traffic flows by application names and data packet information or properties. Based in part on these keys, patterns can be discerned to infer data traffic information based on only the information in a first data packet. The determined patterns can be used to predict classifications of future traffic flows with similar key information. In this way, data traffic flows can be classified and steered in a network based on limited information available in a first data packet.
