Abstract: An entertainment audio processing system includes a music limiter configured to receive an audio signal, volume control information for music, and volume control information for announcement. The music limiter is further configured to calculate a gain parameter based on a music-to-announcement ratio. In another aspect, an entertainment audio processing system includes a mixer configured to substantially match a left audio signal channel and a right audio signal channel. The entertainment audio processing system further includes an equalizer configured to introduce magnitude and phase changes between the left audio signal channel and the right audio signal channel.

Abstract: Certain example embodiments described herein relate to systems and/or methods for event stream deviation detection. More particularly, certain example embodiments described herein relate to maintaining short and long-term statistics of an incoming stream of event data. In certain example embodiments, a deviation is calculated based at least in part on the long-term and short-term statistics. The deviation may then be compared to a threshold value. In certain example embodiments, the estimations required for the statistics are done with Kernel Density Estimators (KDEs).

Abstract: The present invention provides for the ranking of messages for presentation to a user based on user behavior with respect to previous messages received from ranked communication endpoints. In particular, the percentage of a message played back by a user can be used to assigned a rank for future messages received from the initiating communication endpoint associated with the subject message. Initiating communication endpoints associated with messages that the user has listened to all or a large proportion of are associated with a relatively high ranking that is applied to future messages from those communication endpoints. Initiating communication endpoints associated with messages that the user listens to only the message header or a small proportion of the message itself are assigned a relatively low ranking. Messages received as textual communications or by a unified messaging application may be ranked according to the order in which the user selects the messages for retrieval.
