Patent number: 11882821Abstract: Method and apparatus for eradicating insects in both a below ground and above ground environment. The device includes a main shaft having a bore therein and a two-piece clamshell on one end for insertion into the insect bed and on the other end a main body which includes a hand grip and a lever for releasing the gas which is held in a separate gas cylinder. The gas flows through a gas tube from the gas cylinder through the main shaft and then out the clamshell end of the main shaft into an insect bed. Two inert gases are used to displace the air in the insect colony wherein the two inert gases are argon and helium. The argon gas is used for underground applications and the helium gas is used for above ground and underground above grade applications. The two-piece clamshell is used for insertion into the ground where it is opened thereby allowing the gas to escape from the gas tube contained inside the clamshell.Type: GrantFiled: August 11, 2023Date of Patent: January 30, 2024Inventor: Carroll Lee Norton

Patent number: 11805754Abstract: A system for training animals includes a hand-held device and a remote device, where the remote device applies a stimulus when a user presses a button or trigger on the hand-held device. The amount of pressure applied is measured by a pressure sensitive transducer and transformed into proportional transducer signals. These transducer signals are transmitted to the remote device, which then applies a stimulus to an animal being trained. The amplitude of the applied stimulus corresponds to the amplitude of the transducer signals; a trainer can thus precisely control the intensity of the stimulus by applying and relieving pressure on the button. The type of stimulus applied is controlled based on the position of a rotary switch on the hand-held device. Sensor data generated by specialized sensors in the remote device may be transmitted to the hand-held device to provide the user with sensory feedback.Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 2022Date of Patent: November 7, 2023Assignee: CJE Products, LLCInventors: Chad R.
