    Abstract: The invention is directed to an electric switch having a shaft (33) with a switching coulisse (36) comprising two circular segments, with control cams (60, 64) being disposed on the one circular segment and ratchet elements (66) being disposed on the other circular segment, which cooperate with a detent spring (75) and a contact spring (70). Because the circular segments are arranged i1 a common plane, a highly compact switch is obtained.
