The second section includes a leading portion, which is of a reduced thickness and has a bevel to wipe excess ink from a gravure cylinder. The first and second sections are adhered to each other. The second section can be notched to alleviate the deleterious effects of camber.

Abstract: The invention relates to an ankle support system to protect against ankle injuries. The ankle support system comprises a leg brace mounted to the leg of the wearer and an anchoring strap for attaching the leg brace to a shoe. The anchoring strip comprises a series of eyelets receiving a shoe lace and firmly retaining the anchoring strip to the shoe.

Abstract: A slit trencher can be mounted on a carrier machine which moves in a driving direction. The trencher includes a holder adapted to be mounted on the carrier machine. Also included is a boom mounted on this holder. The trencher has a circulating chain and a plurality of slit formers mounted on the circulating chain. The circulating chain mounted on the boom circulates thereon. This circulating chain is operable to perform work when circulating along a running direction. Each of the slit formers has a cutting edge slanted both with respect to the running direction of the chain and with respect to the driving direction of the carrier machine. These slit formers have a rear side and each includes a cover plate and a rear plate. The cover plate has a horizontal width sized to cover the width of the slit. This cover plate is slanted towards a direction opposite to the running direction of the circulator. The rear plate is mounted adjacent to the cover plate to block the rear side.

Abstract: Covers are mounted so as to cooperatively close and seal the mouth or opening into conventional backhoe and clam-shell excavating buckets with the covers being positioned or positionable so as to engage the buckets after the buckets have been operated or manipulated to excavate earthen material or debris to thoroughly enclose such materials within the buckets until such time as the material is deposited into an appropriate receptacle or deposit site.

Abstract: To make more compact the structure of a sheet-fed rotary printing press and to simplify the installation of the individual printing units, there is provided a separate frame for each printing unit in which the plate cylinder and blanket cylinder are mounted together with the inking and wetting unit. The impression cylinder and the transfer drum are mounted as a transport unit in a fixed base frame. The frames of the printing unit are mounted on the base frame of the transport unit in the longitudinal direction of the press, so that it is possible to create an open space between any two printing units as required by the operator.

Abstract: A spring-charge type printing head has an elongatable support including a piezoelectric element provided between an attracting permanent magnet and a hammer-fixing portion. Accordingly, the printing head can be operated at a high speed and require less power than a conventional device.

Abstract: An attachment scraper assembly for clearing offal and the like from barns. A bracket assembly is connected to a scraper element that is formed from a vehicle tire. To affix the scraper assembly to the bucket of a front end loader, the operator inserts the lower wall of the bucket under an elevated, downwardly facing and rearwardly, downwardly sloping support surface of the bracket assembly. The scraper assembly will be firmly suspended between the support surface and a rear edge of the scraper element when the bucket is raised. The scraper assembly may thus be attached to, and detached from, a bucket without requiring the operator to dismount the front end loader.

The heel portion is formed with an integral heel post and the forefoot portion is contoured on the underside to form a flat downwardly facing forefoot support surface projecting in a plane which is intersected by the upper plantar support surface at the forward extremity of the orthotic.

Abstract: The disclosure is of an elastomer coated textile garment characterized by a textured or "wrinkle" finish. The disclosure is also of a method of manufacturing an elastomer coated textile garment with a "wrinkle" finish. In a preferred embodiment process, the method comprises forming a glove from a base fabric of a woven or knitted fabric having a fibrous, non-woven bat attached thereto and coating the glove with an elastomer in conventional manner.
