Abstract: Automatically blocking and/or unblocking a computer-supported medical device in a system includes the medical device and a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal comprises a first wireless communication device, and the medical device comprises a second wireless communication device. The medical device is automatically shifted from a blocked state into an unblocked state, if when the first communication device establishes a wireless connection with the second communication device and the signal strength of a signal of from the first communication device to the second communication device exceeds a first threshold.

A plurality of second RF ports are coupled to the vertically-extending array of second radiating elements. The vertically-extending array of first radiating elements and the vertically-extending array of second radiating elements are configured to serve a common sector of a base station.

Abstract: A method, a system, and a computer program product for localization of wireless devices. At least one of mapping and wireless data describing a physical environment is received. The physical environment includes one or more wireless access points. Using the received mapping and/or wireless data, a location of each of the wireless access points is determined. Using the determined location of the wireless access points, one or more wireless devices positioned in the physical environment are located.

Abstract: A system described herein may identify a first set of channel parameters associated with a User Equipment (“UE”). The first set of channel parameters may include timing parameters indicating time intervals at which traffic is able to be wirelessly communicated between the UE and a radio access network (“RAN”), and resource allocation parameters indicating a measure of wireless resources allocated to communicating traffic between the UE and the RAN. The system may generate a second set of channel parameters based on a quantity of instances that traffic was communicated between the UE and the RAN at a beginning of one or more time intervals, indicated by the first set of channel parameters, and a measure of utilization of the allocated wireless resources during the particular timeframe. The UE and the RAN may subsequently communicate using the second set of channel parameters.

Abstract: The invention discloses a computer-implemented method, computer program product, and computer system, for utilizing a hypervisor installed on a smartphone running separate virtual machines (VMs), one configured for personal use and another for work use, thereby allowing for separate operating environments on one piece of hardware. The method includes receiving one or more notifications, or calls, on the smartphone and determining whether the one or more notifications, or calls, are during work hours. The method selects, automatically, the work VM as default if the one or more notifications, or calls, are during work hours. If the one or more notifications, or calls, are not during work hours, the method automatically selects the personal VM as default. The method further notifies a user to switch VMs if the one or more notifications, or calls, occur during a time that is a non-default VM.

Abstract: A bottle opening phone case device capable of opening capped and corked bottles includes a shell, which defines an interior space and which has a front that is open. A phone is insertable into the shell to couple the shell to the phone. A plurality of apertures is positioned in the shell, with each aperture aligning with an associated operative element of the phone. A corked bottle opener, which is hingedly attached to the shell, is selectively positionable in a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration. In the stowed configuration, the corked bottle opener substantially abuts the shell. In the deployed configuration, the corked bottle opener is substantially perpendicular to the shell. With the shell grasped in a hand of a user, the user is positioned to use the corked bottle opener to remove a cork from a corked bottle.

Abstract: Dispersive delay lines are disclosed. The dispersive delay line can include a piezoelectric substrate having a first interdigital transducer electrode on a first region of the piezoelectric substrate and a second interdigital transducer electrode on a second region of the piezoelectric substrate. The dispersive delay line is arranged such that an acoustic wave is configured to propagate from the first interdigital transducer electrode to the second interdigital transducer electrode though a third region of the piezoelectric substrate. An additional material positioned on the third region of the piezoelectric substrate can impact acoustic wave propagation velocity. Related radio frequency modules, wireless communications devices, and methods are disclosed.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to the utilization of context information by an electronic device. In one example, the electronic device receives a first notification of a first type and determines a current status for one or more contextual categories. If the current status for the one or more contextual categories satisfies a set of one or more delivery criteria for notifications of the first type, then the electronic device provides the first notification of the first type. If the current status for the one or more contextual categories does not satisfy the set of one or more delivery criteria for notifications of the first type, then the electronic device modifies the first notification of the first type to a second notification of a second type and provides the second notification of the second type.
