  • Patent number: 11769258
Abstract: Systems and techniques are described herein for processing images. The systems and techniques can be implemented by various types of systems, such as by an extended reality (XR) system or device. In some cases, a first processor receives an image of an environment captured by an image sensor, identifies features depicted in the image, and generates descriptors for the features. The first processor sends the descriptors to a second processor, which may be more powerful than the first processor. The second processor receives the descriptors. The second processor associates the plurality of features with a map of the environment based on at least a subset of the plurality of descriptors. For example, the second processor can track at least a subset of the features based on at least a subset of the descriptors and based on feature information from one or more additional images of the environment.

  • Patent number: 11758355
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for provision of location-based services to wireless device users. In one embodiment, the apparatus and methods support location-based services requiring indoors or underground positioning (or other applications which cannot be served by GPS/A-GPS or GLONASS), such as via Wi-Fi Location devices with fine timing measurement (FTM) capability. A cable, terrestrial or satellite network operator can obtain location data on e.g., an LTE-enabled UE with SIM capability located within a served premises or venue, via an HTTP/S GET protocol, and forward the location data. In one variant, a managed 3GPP IP Multimedia System (IMS) infrastructure is used in conjunction with UE-specific identifiers under control of a controller entity (e.g., ePDG) in communication with the IMS infrastructure and one or more FTM-enabled Wi-Fi APs within the premises or venue for supporting VoWi-Fi 911 or 411 packet calls made via the IMS.

  • Patent number: 11657517
Abstract: A system includes a first sensor and a sensor client. During an initial time interval, the sensor client receives images generated by the first sensor and detects contours in the images. The sensor client determines, based on the contours, regions of the images generated by the first sensor to exclude during object tracking. During a subsequent time interval, the sensor client receives a second image generated by the first sensor and detects a contour in the image. The sensor client determines pixel coordinates of the second contour and determines whether at least a threshold percentage of the second pixel coordinates overlap with the region to exclude during object tracking. If at least the threshold percentage of the second pixel coordinates overlap with the region to exclude, a position for tracking the second contour is not determined.

  • Patent number: 11645752
Abstract: A system and method for analyzing images using programmable device is disclosed. A sequencer operating on the non-transitory programmable device applies the first image analysis step to the first image to develop annotated training data. Specifications of the first image and the first image analysis step are developed using a graphical user interface operating on a computer. In addition, a machine learning system trainer operating on the programmable device trains an untrained machine learning system to develop a trained machine learning system. When the trained machine learning system is presented with the first image as an input, the trained machine learning system develops a prediction of the annotated training data. In addition, the sequencer analyzes a second image by undertaking a workflow, wherein the workflow is received from the computer and is specified using the graphical user interface and comprises a second image analysis step that that specifies operating the trained machine learning system.
