  • Patent number: 6925577
Abstract: A method for recording and storing independent and/or simultaneous transport streams of data is suggested. The inventive method comprises at least a recording mode in which at least a first transport stream of data to be recorded/stored is received. The transport streams are divided into series of packets with respect to a predefined clock or with respect to their temporal relationships. To each transport stream and to the series of packets respectively a packet identifier is assigned. A series of partial transport streams is generated from at least said series of packet identifiers and said series of packets. A time series of said partial transport streams based on said clock is recorded and stored as a combined transport stream.

  • Patent number: 6640257
Abstract: The present invention comprises a system that provides a convenient and easy-to-use means for controlling audio input and output for recording. The system includes a first input adapted to receive a high fidelity microphone such as a low impedance microphone, and a second input adapted to receive a musical instrument. The system also includes at least two outputs, each adapted to transmit analog signals to an input of a sound card (30) of a computer (20), and electrical circuitry coupling the inputs to the outputs. More specifically, the system further comprises at least one additional input adapted to receive analog signals from an output of the sound card (30) and at least one additional output adapted to transmit analog signals to a receiver. The electrical circuitry couples the additional input to the additional output, and is operable to transmit analog signals from the first and second inputs to the receiver and to the input of the sound card (30).

  • Patent number: 6622784
Abstract: A reboiler/condenser bath heat exchanger for heat exchange between a first fluid to be vaporized and a second fluid to be condensed includes a number of passages for heat exchange between the two fluids in order to make the second fluid flow, which fluid has a temperature of T2-2 at the outlet of the passages; a vessel containing the passages for making the first fluid flow between the passages by thermosiphon effect from the bottom upwards over a height h, the first fluid having an entry temperature T1-1 where T1-1<T2-2 and an exit pressure P1-2; elements for giving the entry pressure P1-1 of the first fluid a value such that the pressure P1-2 is greater than a minimum pressure Pm,ex and elements for ensuring that at least one of the following two conditions is fulfilled: the height h of the passages is at least equal to 2.5 m; and the temperature T2-2 of the second fluid is less than T1-1+1.2° C.

  • Patent number: 5155411
Abstract: A color CRT assembly comprises a tube having an external magnetic deflection yoke thereon. The tube includes an evacuated envelope with a substantially rectangular faceplate panel and a tubular neck connected by a funnel having a rectangular open end sealed to the faceplate panel. A three color phosphor screen is carried on an inner surface of the faceplate panel and a color selection electrode is mounted in spaced relation therefrom. An electronic gun is disposed within the neck of the tube for generating and directing at least one electron beam to the screen. The magnetic deflection yoke is located on the tube, in the region of the funnel-to-neck junction of the envelope, for subjecting the beam to magnetic fields which cause the beam to scan a rectangular raster over the screen. The assembly is improved by the inclusion, in the funnel, of a quantity of glass which attenuates x-radiation from the tube. The quantity of glass is disposed adjacent to the yoke, on the faceplate side thereof.
