Patent number: 10411427Abstract: The invention is a system for simultaneously, yet safely, suspending and powering objects through connectors on a wall. The system includes one or more connectors, preferably pins, mounted to a wall. Each connector has a groove and a lip that houses an electrical conductor, which may be a metal rod. One or more suspendable objects, which may be storage bins or electrical appliances, are designed to engage with the connectors. Each suspendable object has at least one horizontal track that guides the lip of each connector into one or more openings in the track. When the lip engages an opening, the object is suspended from the wall. Each opening also contains an electrical conductor that engages with the electrical conductor within the connector, thereby providing power to the suspendable object. The connectors may be attached to rails, and the system may be utilized within an automated storage and retrieval system.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2018Date of Patent: September 10, 2019Inventors: David R. Patent number: 10404018Abstract: A connector includes a conductor engager, coupler-driver and a compressor-body. A coupler is disposed over and engages a grounding end of the conductor engager while a torque drive member rotationally drives the coupler to threadedly engage an interface port. Threaded engagement of the coupler causes the conductor engager to move forwardly toward the interface port and the torque drive member to move rearwardly relative to the conductor engager. Rearward movement of the torque drive member causes a compressor to slide axially over plurality of radially compliant fingers of the compressor-body. The compliant fingers are displaced radially inward to compress a prepared end of the coaxial cable, i.e., an outer conductor and a radially compliant outer jacket, against a tubular-shaped retention end of the conductor engager. Compression of the prepared end connects the coaxial cable to the connector.Type: GrantFiled: April 11, 2018Date of Patent: September 3, 2019Assignee: PPC BROADBAND, INC.Inventor: Kim Eriksen
