Abstract: A laminated support for pressure-relief comprising an upper layer of visco-elastic foam, a middle layer of visco-elastic foam having a greater hardness, and a bottom layer of highly resilient polyurethane foam. These layers are sandwiched between two layers of reticulated filter polyurethane foam.
Abstract: An adhesive blank for decorating articles such as pencils and the like. In one embodiment, the sticker has a first decal and a second decal that are connected together by a bridge. The sticker is preferably symmetrical about a central axis. One surface of the sticker is provided with an adhesive that is exposed when a protective backing sheet is removed. Thus, upon wrapping the bridge about an appropriately sized object, the decals meet in even alignment to create a decorative tag.
Abstract: The invention relates to a composite material, manufactured by dynamic densification of an amount of granular or powdered relatively brittle material or a mixture of one or more of such materials, wherein a continuous porous product is obtained, whereafter, by infiltration thereof with a second material, the brittle material particles are embedded in a continuous network of the second material. The invention further relates to a composite comprising ceramic particles embedded in a continuous matrix of a second material, obtainable by a method according to the invention, and to products manufactured from such composite.
