  • Patent number: 11797975
Abstract: Various examples described herein are directed to systems and methods that provide a pre-authorized amount from a user to an intended recipient that is remote from the user. A quick response (QR) code provided from a recipient is read. The QR code includes the pre-authorized amount to be withdrawn from an account associated the user and image data associated with the intended recipient. Image data associated with the recipient is captured. Image analysis is performed on the captured image data associated with the recipient. The analyzed captured image data associated with the recipient is compared with the image data associated with the intended recipient. A determination is then made if the recipient is the intended recipient based on the comparison. When the recipient is the intended recipient, the pre-authorized amount is provided to the recipient from the account associated with the user.

Abstract: Techniques are described for managing ghost account(s) for user(s). A ghost account may be created with a ghost account number that is a digitally provisioned payment card number linked to a backend account of a user. The ghost account number may be used to conduct transactions in situations where the user may otherwise use their backend account number. One more constraints governing the use of the ghost account may be specified by the user and/or the backend account management service. For example, the user may request a ghost account to be used only to make payments to a particular merchant or service. As another example, the user may request a ghost account to be useable for a particular period of time and/or a particular number of uses. Transactions initiated through the ghost account may be completed using the backend account that is linked to the ghost account.

  • Patent number: 11763192
Abstract: A machine-learning algorithm is trained with features relevant to transaction exceptions, distributions of items in transaction mapped to product hierarchies, and operator data. The trained algorithm is trained to predict whether a given transaction requires a transaction exception for potential fraud or for management approval. The trained algorithm is then provided a set of in-progress input data for an in-progress transaction being processed on a transaction terminal. Output from the trained algorithm is used to determine whether the in-progress transaction is allowed to continue processing unabated or whether the in-progress transaction is to be suspended with a transaction exception requiring a manager override or security credential to continue processing.

  • Patent number: 11756014
Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to systems and methods enabling cardless cash withdrawals from ATMs and/or other funds dispensing system. In various embodiments, a finite-duration access code is generated and associated with an account from which funds are to be withdrawn in response to a validated request generated at a mobile app operating on a user's mobile computing device. The access code is provided to the user (e.g., via the mobile app), who can then provide the finite-duration access code and an associated PIN to the funds dispensing system. The funds dispensing system transmits the received access code and/or PIN to servers to validate the request. The servers compare the transmitted data against stored data associated with the user's account, and generates a verification response to be transmitted to the funds dispensing system upon verification. The funds dispensing system then provides the requested cash to the user.

  • Patent number: 11727386
Abstract: A transaction is detected on a transaction terminal. A first code is presented on a display of the transaction terminal that is encoded with an identifier and a passcode for a wireless connection between the transaction terminal and a mobile device operated by a customer. The mobile device processes the code to wirelessly connect to the transaction terminal using the identifier and the passcode. A second code is presented on a display of the transaction terminal. The second code when captured by the mobile device causes a transaction interface to be remoted from the transaction terminal to the mobile device over the wireless connection. The transaction continues with interactions provided on the mobile device and processed on the transaction terminal without any customer touching of the display of the transaction terminal and without any customer touching of any keys or keypad of the transaction terminal.
