Abstract: Based on a configuration of a pre-allocated sequence of first SSBs of a first predetermined number, which comprise second SSBs of a second predetermined number and third SSBs of a third predetermined number, a network apparatus of an access network of a cellular communication system determines (S503) a usage for resources associated with the third SSBs. According to the configuration of the pre-allocated sequence of first SSBs, the second SSBs are to be utilized in a beam management procedure including an initial access procedure and the third SSBs are not necessarily to be utilized in the beam management procedure including the initial access procedure which enables UEs to gain initial access to the cellular communication system via the access network. The network apparatus broadcasts (S505) the usage in the beam management procedure.

Abstract: A new generation of network resource management architecture for coverage is provided, which constructs a structure of “signal coverage+capacity coverage” by incorporating satellite, space-based, and ground access points to achieve large-scale regional signal coverage and local area capacity coverage. In the core network, a global resource orchestrator is added, and in the access network, local resource orchestrator and virtual network management and maintenance unit are added for multiple functional units of resource management and control. In terms of coverage structure, it is divided into three-dimensional dense capacity coverage and three-dimensional global signal coverage. The former consists of ground dense network and aerial ad-hoc network, respectively realizing high traffic density coverage and large connection three-dimensional coverage.
Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for mitigating inter-region interference for multiple regions serviced by multiple RAN (Radio Access Network) base stations. The method is performed for each region serviced by each particular RAN base station. The method identifies a set of one or more sub-regions receiving interfering signals from other RAN base stations.

Abstract: A method and device for duplicate PDU discarding. In one embodiment, a User Equipment (UE) establishes a direct path and an indirect path to communicate with a network. The UE also establishes a radio bearer, wherein the radio bearer is mapped to a first Radio Link Control (RLC) entity and a second RLC entity and wherein the first RLC entity is used for communication with the network over the direct path and the second RLC entity is used for communication with the network over the indirect path. In addition, a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) entity, which is in the UE and which is associated with the radio bearer, prevents from indicating to the first RLC entity to discard a first PDCP PDU when successful delivery of the first PDCP PDU is confirmed by the second RLC entity.
