  • Patent number: 4509308
Abstract: A mounting assembly facilitates the installation of dowels in layered compound panels. A dowel is held in its installed position in a hole in the panel by anchoring elements including at least one flange and by casting a curable casting resin mass around the dowel. The upper facing surface of the dowel inserted in the hole in the panel and the lower surface of a mounting member for facilitating the installation of the dowel are both located in a plane in common with an outer layer of the panel. The mounting member extends outside the circumference of the dowel and is connected to the dowel body (2, 41) thereby forming a casting dish or ring (21, 59) around the dowel. The dowel body (2, 41) has a cornered portion (6, 45) located centrally around the axis of a threading in a threaded bushing, whereby the flange (5, 43) merges into the cornered portion and whereby the cornered portion has flattened corners (15) defining an outer circle having a diameter equal to or larger than the diameter of the flange.

  • Patent number: 4509305
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for connecting aligned butt ends of isostatic elements (generally girders) of a constructive work. Between the crosspieces connecting the opposite girder butt ends there is disposed at least one tubular cylinder prestressed by clamping screws and by a coaxial tensioned tie rod whose ends bear on the outer faces of the crosspieces. The invention is more particularly applicable to bridges formed by independent isostatic girders.

  • Patent number: 4480417
Abstract: This invention discloses an improved glass pane framed by a U-shaped profile rail wherein the adhesion of the glass pane to the clamping rail is significantly increased. At least one side of the marginal area of the glass pane framed by the U-shaped profile rail is provided with a group of raised bodies which are anchored into the surface of the glass and impress themselves into a layer of elastic deformable material that lies between the glass pane and the clamping rail.
