  • Patent number: 11823448
Abstract: In an approach for identifying a crop using satellite observation data and crop rotation data, a processor receives an aerial image of one or more agricultural fields in a pre-determined geographical region from an optical satellite. A processor selects a plurality of points from the aerial image. A processor clips the aerial image into one or more smaller images to generate one or more observed signatures. A processor determines there is a change in a spatial distribution of one or more crops. A processor generates an actual signature from the one or more observed signatures. A processor cross-correlates the actual signature against a plurality of historical reference signatures to determine a degree of similarity. A processor ranks one or more results of the cross-correlation. A processor identifies the one or more crops. A processor calculates a first estimate of an amount of the one or more crops.

  • Patent number: 11798128
Abstract: An image data frame is received from an external source. An error concealment operation is performed on the received image data frame in response to determining that a first frame size of the received image data frame is erroneous. The first frame size of the image data frame is determined to be erroneous based on at least one frame synchronization signal associated with the image data frame. An image processing operation is performed on the received image data frame on which the error concealment operation has been performed, thereby enabling an image processing module to perform the image processing operation without entering into a deadlock state and thereby prevent a host processor from having to execute hardware resets of deadlocked modules.

  • Patent number: 11709917
Abstract: A computer-implemented clustering method is disclosed for image segmentation, social network analysis, computational biology, market research, search engine and other applications. At the heart of the method is a point-set kernel that measures the similarity between a data point and a set of data points. The method has a procedure that employs the point-set kernel to expand from a seed point to a cluster; and finally identifies all clusters in the given dataset. Applying the method for image segmentation, it identifies several segments in the image, where points in each segment have high similarity: but points in one segment have low similarity with respect to other segments. The method is both effective and efficient that enables it to deal with large scale datasets. In contrast, existing clustering methods are either efficient or effective; and even efficient ones have difficulty dealing with large scale datasets without massive parallelization.

  • Patent number: 11688069
Abstract: A method and system for crop health change monitoring is provided. The method includes acquiring a companion image of a crop growing within a field at a first point in time, acquiring a master image of the crop growing within the field at a second point in time, and computing, using a processor, vegetation indices using the master image and the companion image for subsequently determining regions of change within the master image. An alert condition is determined if change within one or more of the regions of change is sufficient to meet defined criteria. If a minimum field area threshold is met, a modulation coefficient is applied to the defined criteria that determines the alert condition. The coefficient reduces area-based thresholds used in health detection in a manner proportional to the size of the agricultural field of interest.

  • Patent number: 11676374
Abstract: A system first registers a two-dimensional image to targetable three-dimensional data. A user or automated process selects image coordinates of a target within the registered two-dimensional image. The system intersects the image coordinates of the target with the targetable three-dimensional data, thereby generating geodetic coordinates of the target in a point cloud. Error estimates for the geodetic coordinates of the target are generated, and the system stores the geodetic coordinates and associated error of the target in a database for use in downstream exploitation.
