  • Patent number: 11778503
Abstract: Examples of techniques for Association Identifier (AID) assignment are disclosed. In an example, a controller managing an AP may allocate a set of numbers for AID assignment to clients connecting to VAPs in a multiple BSSID set of the AP. The controller may configure the AP to assign AIDS to non-Multi-Link (non-ML) clients from a first subset of the set based on a first monotonic sequence and assign AIDS to ML clients from a second subset of the set based on a second monotonic sequence. The AP may receive an association request from a client to associate with a VAP of the multiple BSSID set, determine whether Multi-Link operation (MLO) is enabled for the client, and in response to determining that MLO is disabled for the client device, assign a first AID to the client from the first subset based on the first monotonic sequence.

  • Patent number: 11777750
Abstract: A terminal includes circuitry and a transmitter. The circuitry, in operation, determines a first transmission power for a first uplink signal and a second transmission power for a second uplink signal by prioritizing allocation of a transmission power to the second transmission power for the second uplink signal, responsive to, in a first transmission time interval (TTI) where the first uplink signal is transmitted, the second uplink signal being transmitted in a second TTI that is shorter than the first TTI. The transmitter, in operation, transmits the first uplink signal with the determined first transmission power and transmits the second uplink signal with the determined second transmission power.

  • Patent number: 11751158
Abstract: Embodiments include methods for downlink (DL) transmission by a network node in an integrated access backhaul (IAB) network. Such methods include receiving, from an upstream node in the network, first timing offset information related to communications between the network node and the upstream node. Such methods include transmitting a DL signal or channel, to one or more downstream nodes, based on a DL transmission timing for the network node. The DL transmission timing is determined from the network node's DL reception timing of signals or channels transmitted by the upstream node and a second function of the first timing offset information, which is determined based on a first function of the first timing offset information (when the first function is greater than a threshold) or on an alternate timing offset (when the first function is not greater than the threshold). Embodiments also include network nodes configured to perform such methods.

  • Patent number: 11706835
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for handling Quality of Service (QoS) mobility and dual connectivity. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a network node in a cellular communications network includes deciding to split an existing Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session that includes a current uplink tunnel information; and setting up resources for the split PDU session. In this way, it may be possible to support QoS mobility in the different tunnel during dual connectivity. In some embodiments, the network node is a Master Next Generation—Radio Access Network (NG-RAN) node, and setting up resources for the split PDU session includes sending an S-Node Addition/Modification Request including the current uplink tunnel information for the split PDU session to a Secondary NG-RAN node in the cellular communications network; and receiving a newly added additional downlink tunnel information from the Secondary NG-RAN node.

  • Patent number: 11700590
Abstract: This technology allows time synchronization in wireless networks with mobile stations. A wireless network controller transmits instructions to access points (“APs”) within the wireless network to monitor transmissions for time synchronization. One or more second APs observe fine time measurement (“FTM”) exchanges between a first AP and a mobile station. A particular second AP determines whether to perform a time synchronization with the first AP based on the detection of the FTM exchange or a determination that the station is moving toward the second AP. For time synchronization, the second AP determines the time that the first AP transmitted the FTM exchange and the time of transmission from the first AP to the second AP. The second AP synchronizes a second AP clock to the summation of the time of the transmission of the FTM exchange and the time of transmission from the first AP to the second AP.
