  • Patent number: 10020982
Abstract: The failure isolation method includes: a first step of performing a predetermined action for the monitoring target, collecting a failure event which is a result of the action, applying the failure event to a failure cause analysis rule, and narrowing down the root cause events together with certainty factors; a second step of determining whether the root cause event and the certainty factor narrowed down in the first step satisfy a predetermined requirement and whether the narrowing-down has been completed; and a third step of, when it is determined in the second step that the narrowing-down has not been completed, performing a predetermined additional action for the monitoring target, collecting an additional failure event which is a result of the additional action, applying the additional failure event to the failure cause analysis rule, and narrowing down the root cause events together with the certainty factors.

  • Patent number: 9959226
Abstract: A communication interface couples a transmission circuit with an interconnection network. The transmission circuit requests transmission of a predetermined amount of data. The communication interface receives data segments from the transmission circuit, stores the data segments in a memory, and verifies whether the memory contains the predetermined amount of data. In the case where the memory contains the predetermined amount of data, the communication interface starts transmission of the data stored in the memory. Alternatively, in the case where the memory contains an amount of data less than the predetermined amount of data, the communication interface determines a parameter that identifies the time that has elapsed since the transmission request or the first datum was received from the aforesaid transmission circuit, and verifies whether the time elapsed exceeds a time threshold.

  • Patent number: 9954743
Abstract: In one implementation, an application-aware network control system determines that a network flow has been instantiated, derives network flow features associated with the network flow in response to determining the network flow has been instantiated, and provides the network flow features to an application identification module. In response to an application identification signal, the application-aware network control system ceases deriving the network flow features, and applies a flow action to the network flow based on an application identification report received from the application identification module.

  • Patent number: 9871702
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program embodiments are disclosed for providing network management services for a telecommunications network. In an embodiment, a request may be received for a service provided by an operations support system (OSS). Data may be retrieved from a network management database based on the received request. The network management database may store a plurality of network management data, and the stored data may be correlated to a service information model that defines a plurality of base network entities used to represent the architecture of the network. An information model template may then be read by the OSS that specifies one or more provider-specific network entities that extend the base network entities defined by the service information model. The retrieved data may then be operated on by the OSS, and the resulting output may be customized based on the provider-specific network entities of the information model template.

  • Patent number: 9864617
Abstract: A computer system image is executed on a computing node over a network. A system specification file transmitted over the network specifies the computer system image by specifying components of the computer system image. The components include an operating system and at least one resource. The system specification file also contains a signature associated with the resource. A resource is determined to be authorized to be incorporated into the computer system image by verifying the signature. • Patent number: 9843528
Abstract: Methods and systems for implementing client selection in a distributed strict queue are disclosed. A plurality of messages are distributed to a plurality of queue servers based on strict order parameters for the messages. Messages that share a value for the strict order parameter are distributed to the same queue server. The messages are enqueued at the queue servers. Messages that share a value for the strict order parameter are enqueued in a strict order based on the time of receipt at the queue server. One or more queue clients are selected to process the enqueued messages. The queue clients are selected based on their message processing capability along with the message processing throughput for values for the strict order parameter.

  • Patent number: 9813504
Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses may provide virtualization of device management services (e.g., device drivers) dedicated managing a particular device and designed under for or under the assumption the particular device and the device management service will be utilized in a single session/user environment, so that virtual instances of the device management services may be used in a multi-session environment. Further, a redirection and/or virtualization layer may be created for each session in the multi-session environment to perform global database redirection, object name translation, and file system translation to ensure session boundaries are maintained and global/shared resources are not inappropriately altered by a session. As an example, the redirection/virtualization layer may redirect communications associated with a session and for a global resource to access a virtual instance of the resource specific to the session.

  • Patent number: 9813376
Abstract: Provided are methods and devices for acquiring a Media Access Control (MAC) address. According to a method for acquiring an MAC address, an MAC address request message is received, wherein the MAC address request message carries a Fibre Channel Identifier (FCID); whether the FCID is matched with an FCID of a receiver receiving the MAC address request message or not is judged; and when it is judged that the FCID is matched with the FCID of the receiver receiving the MAC address request message, the receiver sends a response message, wherein the response message carries an MAC address of the receiver. The technical solution solves the problem in a related technology that communication cannot be directly performed through the link layer, and has the effect of directly acquiring an MAC address corresponding to an FCID of an opposite end so as to perform communication by fast switching at the link layer.

  • Patent number: 9811500
Abstract: A writing application on a computing device can reference a tail pointer to write messages to message buffers that a peer-to-peer data link replicates in memory of another computing device. The message buffers are divided into at least two queue segments, where each segment has several buffers. Messages are read from the buffers by a reading application on one of the computing devices using an advancing head pointer by reading a message from a next message buffer when determining that the next message buffer has been newly written. The tail pointer is advanced from one message buffer to another within a same queue segment after writing messages. The tail pointer is advanced from a message buffer of a current queue segment to a message buffer of a next queue segment when determining that the head pointer does not indicate any of the buffers of the next queue segment.
