Abstract: Described herein is a system and method for providing entity investment guidance via a communication network. The system includes a server, at least one entity-issued disclosure received by the server via the communication network and a storage accessible by the server. The storage includes at least one forecast data extracted from the at least one entity disclosure, said forecast data indicative of a projection of an entity performance parameter, and a context file for each of the forecast data, the context file including at least a portion of the entity disclosure associated with the forecast data. Also included in the system is a user interface in communication with the server, wherein the server generates an investment guidance display of the forecast data and the context file and transmits the display to the user interface via the communication network.

Abstract: A benchmarking computing application is configured to create a benchmark run for a segment of customer profiles. Customer profiles from the segment include a parameter, termed an adjustment parameter, that may affect energy consumption by the associated customer. The results of the benchmark run include energy consumption values for individual customer profiles in the segment, an average energy consumption value for the entire segment of customer profiles, and also adjustment energy consumption value. The adjustment energy consumption value reflects the portion of energy consumption by a particular customer attributed to the difference between the average value of the adjustment parameter for the segment and the value of the adjustment parameter for the particular customer profile.

Abstract: Techniques for determining a suggested bid value that surpasses a selected bid are disclosed. A user selectable facility is provided. In response to receiving a selection event associated with the user selectable facility: (1) the value of the selected bid, which is other than the first ranked bid value, is established; (2) the suggested bid value is calculated by applying a predetermined minimum differential value to the selected bid value; and (3) the suggested bid value is conveyed to a user.

Abstract: A system that enables a user to indicate time zones in their electronic calendar for corresponding time periods in the future, and that makes the future time zone information it collects available for scheduling purposes, so that free time can be correctly determined even for frequently traveling users. The disclosed system further automatically provides indications to the user when input future free time information creates local times for previously scheduled calendar events that are outside of the user's regular working hours.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for generating an expanded user segment based on a target segment of users associated with a specified target feature. In one implementation, a method is provided that includes receiving information about online activity by a set of users, the information including a unique user ID associated with each of the set of users; extracting from the received information, data about the set of users who are associated with the specified target feature; specifying one or more independent features relevant to a user association with the specified target feature; building a model that represents the probability of any user being associated with the specified target feature, based on the extracted data and the independent features; and using the model to score a network population of users relative to the specified feature, based on information received about online activity by the network population of users.

Abstract: A method of quota planning. In one embodiment, the method includes determining a top-down goal. The top-down goal indicates an expected amount of sales for a sales territory of a sales territory hierarchy. The method also includes generating a bottom-up recommendation for the sales territory and specifying a quota for the sales territory. The bottom-up recommendation is reconciled with the top-down goal, resulting in a quota that indicates an assigned amount of sales for the sales territory.

Abstract: A method in a server computer connected over a network to a group of participants, where each participant operates a client computer. The method receives a payment for each participant in the group, associates the payments received for the group with a time period, calculates a designated portion of each payment, and creates a fund for the time period by combining the designated portions of the payments. The method receives a notification for each participant in a subgroup of the group of participants, where the notification indicates that during the time period an event occurred. The method calculates a portion of the fund to disburse to each participant in the subgroup, and disburses the fund to the participants in the subgroup, where the portion of the fund to disburse to each participant in the subgroup is a share of the fund.

Abstract: Consumer spend by industry is modeled based on the industry sizes of wallet of consumers having a high share of wallet with a financial institution. A size of wallet is calculated for each consumer in a plurality of consumers. A share of wallet for each consumer is also calculated. A subset of the plurality of consumers whose share of wallet is above a given percentage of their size of wallet is then determined. For each consumer in the subset, an industry size of wallet is determined. A correlation between the industry size of wallet of a given consumer and one or more characteristics of the given consumer is then derived using the industry size of wallet for the consumers in the subset.

Abstract: A system assigns a credit limit to an account for a credit card of a card holder based on whether the card holder poses an acceptable risk. The system activates an account for the credit card, assigns an initial credit limit well below a tolerance level to the account, develops credit history data based on account activity during predetermined short intervals of time, evaluates the credit history data after each of the predetermined short time intervals, and determines whether to increase the credit limit of the account based on the evaluated credit history.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus according to the invention are directed towards providing means for identifying a selection of entity associates that may contain a perpetrator of claimed fraud against an entity account. Means are also provided for scoring the associates within the selection as to relative likelihood of being the perpetrator. Identification means and scoring means may include analyses of the number and nature of connections associates may have with the frauded account, with other entity accounts, with past claims of fraud, and with other associates.

Abstract: Product presentations are managed in a retail environment. Responsive to a customer buying a product, an unsold product present along a route traversed by the customer in the retail environment and an actual behavior of the customer while traversing the route, are identified. The unsold product is associated with the product and with an expected behavior to purchase the unsold products based on an actual purchase of the product by the customer.

Abstract: Electronically creating a schedule plan of events which replicates one or more previously scheduled events. A source date range is acquired into a memory of a machine. A set of previously scheduled events within the source date range is identified. A target date range is received through a user interface. At least a portion of the previously scheduled events is assigned to a date within the received target date range to create the schedule plan. The schedule plan is posted to a calendar. Another method creates a schedule plan on the basis of one or more search criteria used for identifying any match from a database. At least a portion of any matches are assigned a time slot within a target date range of a calendar program.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for automatic savings upon event detection. An electronic transfer of funds from one financial account to another financial account is performed in response to selection of a user interface element to a computer software program. For example, a user may initiate the transfer of a fixed, relatively small amount from a checking account to a savings account by selecting a user interface element configured to initiate a funds transfer transaction. Each time the user selects the user interface element, a new funds transfer transaction is generated and transmitted to a financial institution's computer system(s) via a network. Thus, for example, a user may quickly and easily transfer relatively small, fixed amounts of funds from checking into savings without changing the current context of the computer software program.

Abstract: A system for graphically differentiating user preferred securities from one another is disclosed. The system comprises a server system (12) and a client system (14). The server system (12) is in communication with a security data source (26) that provides security data on a plurality of securities. The client system (14) is in communication with the server system (12) and provides M user specific criteria to the server system (12). The server system (12) then analyzes the security data based upon the M user specific criteria and identifies user preferred securities from the plurality of securities. The server system (12) provides the client system (14) with data relating to the user preferred securities. The client system (14) uses N user specific parameters received from an input device (16, 18) to generate an N dimensional graph that is populated with icons representing the user preferred securities, thereby graphically differentiating the user preferred securities from one another on a display device (20).
