  • Patent number: 11980710
Abstract: Cartridges for vaporizer devices are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, the cartridge can include an atomizer and a channel extending through the cartridge from an inlet to an outlet. The atomizer includes a wicking element that is configured to substantially draw a vaporizable material from a reservoir and into the atomizer, and a heating element that is configured to substantially vaporize the vaporizable material into a vaporized material. The channel has an airflow path and a vapor path that intersect at a first junction between the inlet and the outlet. The airflow path is configured to receive and substantially allow air to pass therethrough, and the vapor path is configured to direct the vaporized material into the first junction so that the vaporized material mixes with the air to substantially form an aerosol downstream of the atomizer. Vaporizer devices are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11980220
Abstract: A smoking article may include a cigarette incorporated within an electrically powered aerosol generating device that acts as a holder for that cigarette. The smoking article possesses at least one form of tobacco. The smoking article also possesses a mouth-end piece that is used by the smoker to inhale components of tobacco that are generated by the action of heat upon components of the cigarette. A representative smoking article possesses an outer housing incorporating a source of electrical power (e.g., a battery), a sensing mechanism for powering the device at least during periods of draw, and a heating device (e.g., at least one electrical resistance heating element) for forming a thermally generated aerosol that incorporates components of tobacco. During use, the cigarette is positioned within the device, and after use, the used cigarette is removed from the device and replaced with another cigarette.

  • Patent number: 11985497
Abstract: A network device may receive a request for authentication data, for a UE attempting to register with a network, and an indication that a SUCI utilized by the UE is unencrypted, and may request, from a data store, the authentication data for the UE. The network device may provide, to the data store, a notification instructing the data store to push a UE parameters update (UPU) once a registration process is complete for the UE, and may receive the authentication data from the data store. The network device may complete the registration process for the UE based on the authentication data, and may receive the UPU from the data store based on the registration process being completed. The network device may cause the UE to detach from the network after utilizing the UPU, and may cause the UE to reconnect to the network with an encrypted SUCI.

  • Patent number: 11980526
Abstract: Autonomously administering a pharmaceutical agent to an animal. A tag assembly is affixed to an animal. The tag assembly may be an ear tag, although other configurations can be used. The tag assembly has a reservoir that houses a pharmaceutical agent. An actuator and an application mechanism are provided. A control signal is generated responsive to an input, which may be from a sensor associated with the tag assembly or may be from an external circuit located apart from the tag assembly. Receipt of the control signal causes the actuator to apply a force to the reservoir, which in turn induces a flow of the pharmaceutical agent, via the application mechanism, to a body of the animal. The pharmaceutical agent may be topically or intravenously applied. The pharmaceutical may be an insecticide or some other agent. Multiple reservoirs can be provided to dispense the same or different pharmaceutical agents.
