Abstract: Disclosed is an automated tap and detection system (ATDS) for monitoring insects on vegetation. The ATDS can automatically agitate vegetation and collect deposits released from the vegetation in response to the agitation. Images of the deposits can be collected and analyzed using machine learning models to determine a type of deposit (e.g., insect) collected and a number of deposits collected.

Abstract: Techniques for gunshot sensor testing are disclosed. An acoustic generator and infrared generator are disposed in a housing. Soundproofing insulation is distributed around and/or within the housing to provide sound deadening which minimizes disturbance to building occupants during testing. The housing is placed in proximity to a gunshot sensor. A trigger device enables multiple modes of triggering both the acoustic generator and infrared generator. The generators stimulate corresponding components of a gunshot sensor. Input from the gunshot sensor components is evaluated to determine an operating condition of the gunshot sensor. The gunshot sensor verifies its operation by communicating with a server. The server further tests mass communication channels by issuing a test message. The test results indicative of the condition of the gunshot sensor are sent to a mobile device for an operator to review.

Abstract: A vehicle image processing system including a control unit and a display unit. The control unit processes an image of the exterior of the vehicle. The display unit displays at least a part of the image. The control unit operates the display unit in first and second modes. The first mode displays at least a part of the image, and the second mode displays at least first and second adjacent regions. The second region is located at least in a lateral end of the display unit, where in the first region the display unit displays part of the image displayed in the first mode, and in the second region the display unit removes the part of the image not displayed in the first region.
Abstract: Embodiments include method, systems and computer program products for aggregation and control of remote video surveillance cameras. In some embodiments, an alert may be received from a point of presence (PoP) system. Based on the alert, it may be determined to obtain video data collected from a plurality of PoP systems. A video stream may be generated using the video data, wherein the video stream comprises data identified in the alert. The video stream may be transmitted to a requesting PoP system.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and techniques for monitoring an object-of-interest within a region involve receiving at least data from two sources monitoring a region and correlating that data to determine that an object-of-interest depicted or represented in data from one of the sources is the same object-of-interest depicted or represented in data from the other source. Metadata identifying that the object-of-interest from the two sources is the same object-of-interest is then stored for later use in, for example, object tracking.

Abstract: A high mast light pole inspection system includes a command center and a transport vehicle. The transport vehicle has a frame configured to be secured around a high mast light pole, and a plurality of sets of wheels. Each set of wheels has a spring mechanism that biases a respective set of wheels inward towards a center of the frame. The plurality of sets of wheels are wirelessly controlled from the command center. In addition, the transport vehicle includes a plurality of cameras mounted to the frame, a power supply coupled to each set of wheels and camera, and a RF digital video transmitter coupled to the plurality of cameras. The transmitter is configured to transmit a wireless multiplexed output of the cameras to the command center.
Abstract: An approach for projecting light may be implemented using a acousto-optical depth switch that uses surface acoustic waves produced along a substrate to guide image light to different areas. The surface acoustic waves may be generated on a substrate using a transducer. Surface acoustic waves of different frequencies can guide image light onto different optical elements at different physical positions. The optical elements may be configured to show objects in an image at different distances from a viewer.
