  • Patent number: 9450688
Abstract: A spectral harvesting system has one or more sensor modules and a processor. The sensor modules autonomously scan RF signals over a range of frequencies in a region of interest. The processor receives observed RF signals from the sensor modules, and performs signal analysis on the observed RF signals received. The signal analysis includes converting the observed RF signals into a frequency signal in a frequency domain, temporally averaging the frequency signal to provide a temporally averaged frequency signal, performing a coarse estimate of the spectral noise floor of the observed RF signals based on the temporally averaged frequency signal using an opening technique that performs an erosion process followed by a dilation process on the temporally averaged frequency signal, and determining an a-posteriori signal presence probability of a signal being present from an RF emitter in the region of interest based on the coarse estimate.

  • Patent number: 9432067
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a technique for enabling Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) toolkit commands to be properly routed within a mobile device that includes an embedded Universal Integrated Circuit Card (eUICC) configured to manage two or more electronic SIMs (eSIMs). Specifically, the technique involves a baseband component of the mobile device and the eUICC initially exchanging information about their eSIM capabilities to identify whether multiple eSIMs are active within the eUICC. During this exchange of information, the eUICC can generate a list of unique identifiers of the active eSIMs that are managed by the eUICC and provide the list of unique identifiers to the baseband component. In turn, the baseband component can update a configuration to manage the list of unique identifiers and use the list of unique identifiers to properly route SIM toolkit commands to the appropriate eSIM within the eUICC.

  • Patent number: 9420542
Abstract: System-wide uplink band gain control in a distributed antenna system (DAS) based on per-band gain control of remote uplink paths in remote units is disclosed. In one embodiment, for each uplink band in the DAS, a gain control system receives remote uplink band power measurements for each remote uplink path for the uplink band. Based on these power measurements, the gain control system determines if the uplink gain of all of the remote uplink paths of the plurality of uplink paths of the uplink band should be adjusted. If the uplink gain of the remote uplink paths of the uplink band should be adjusted, the gain control system directs a remote uplink gain control circuit for each remote uplink path of the uplink band to adjust the uplink gain by a defined remote uplink band gain level.
