  • Patent number: 5934462
Abstract: A field-durable pocket-sized glove package for single-use application containing sanitary latex gloves having the capability of being dispensed one package at a time for convenient use by law enforcement personnel during field operations. The filed-durable material of the glove package has the capability of withstanding exposure to the elements, such as heat, cold, and abrasion, as well as of enduring rough treatment by law enforcement officers in the field without, before being opened, compromising the sanitary condition of the gloves inside. Further, the glove package is of convenient size for easy storage and transportation by law enforcement officers during field operations. The convenient size of the glove package may be effected by folding over the gloves at least once inside the package so that the package is pocket-sized, suitable for carrying in pockets and pouches by law enforcement personnel.

  • Patent number: 5931297
Abstract: A glove-like protective cover capable of encasing a notebook computer, thereby allowing it to be used in a hostile operating environment, such as outdoors or at a manufacturing site, without risk of debris and moisture reaching the computer and detrimentally affecting its performance. The protective cover includes a top pocket capable of having the screen section of the notebook computer inserted therein, and a bottom pocket capable of having the keyboard section of the computer inserted therein. In this way, the notebook computer can be placed in its open, operating position while encased in the protective cover. The portions of the cover overlying the screen and keyboard sections of the computer are transparent. Thus, an operator is able to see the screen and keyboard of the notebook computer through the protective cover. Further, the portion of the cover overlying the keyboard of the computer is flexible so as to allow the keyboard to be operated through the cover.

  • Patent number: 5931303
Abstract: A sterile, compact wrapping is provided to present components in order of use in a medical procedure, particularly a urethral catheterization procedure. Pockets are arranged in a line along a longitudinally extending midsection of the wrapping. Longitudinally extending flaps are provided along the edges of the midsection. Components are placed in the pockets in order of use, and the wrapping is rolled up, beginning with the pocket containing the last used component. The flaps are folded over the rolled up midsection. The rolled and folded wrapping, which maintains the components in a sterile condition until use, may be placed in a further package for shipping. In use, the flaps are unfolded and the wrapping is unrolled sufficiently to expose the first needed component. As the procedure continues, the wrapping is unrolled sufficiently to expose the next needed component, until all components have been used. The used components may be replaced in the pockets and the wrapping rerolled and refolded for disposal.

  • Patent number: 5924565
Abstract: An appliance for concealing a handgun includes a substantially planar frame of resilient plastic or other material, having dimensions to fit closely inside a cover of a small zippered case such as a notebook case. Integral tabs projecting from either end of the frame engage a pocket inside the cover of the case to hold the frame in place. A holster tab is integral with the body of the frame; the holster tab is shaped and sized to receive a handgun holster spring clip and to hold the holster securely in place. A clip holder tab similarly receives an ammunition clip holder, and is positioned so the clip holder is held adjacent the holster. A handgun is placed in the holster and the case is closed, so the weapon is concealed within the inconspicuous case. Security is improved by a small orifice in the frame near the case's zipper tab; the orifice receives a padlock shackle to lock the case's zipper closed.

  • Patent number: 5924574
Abstract: An article container is composed of a frame and a main body suspended in the frame. The frame is formed of a plurality of support rods coupled by the connectors. The support rods are provided with support straps for supporting and suspending the main body such that an interstice is formed between the frame and the main body. The main body is provided with a receiving space and a cushioned layer surrounding the receiving space which is intended to accommodate the article. The cushioned layer is formed of a plurality of foam bodies and air sacs. The foam bodies are capable of absorbing shock, whereas the inflated air sacs serve to locate the article in the receiving space. The article kept in the receiving space of the main body is thus well protected when the article container is impacted on by an external force.

  • Patent number: 5913426
Abstract: A container for holding and displaying elongated objects in an upright, vertical position. The container includes a double side wall assembly formed by folding a folding panel against a side wall and adhering it to the bottom of the container. Because the folding panel is of slightly greater length than the side wall, when the container is erected, the folding panel buckles inward to engage the contained objects and hold them in an upright position. The folding panel may form cavities for receiving and engaging the contained objects. The invention also provides a planar blank for making such a container, as well as a substantially flat, glued blank for use with automatic packaging equipment. The container of this invention is machine formable, thereby facilitating efficient forming and loading of the container by the packager, manufacturer or distributor of the merchandise to be displayed.
