Abstract: A hand cutter with a retractable blade guard providing an unimpaired view of the blade, when it is placed on the object. The blade guard is unlocked and retracted by a trigger mechanism, which is activated by closing the hand around the cutter handle. The blade guard remains in the retracted position until the trigger is released or a relocking mechanism is activated by putting the blade to use by cutting the object.

Abstract: Disclosed is a quick release lock for blades mountable to a motor driven rotary tool consisting of a tool mount for mounting to the mandrel of a motorized tool. A blade retainer and lock ring positioned on each side of a user provided blade with the blade retainer providing a bore having a plurality of channels and rails and the tool mount having a collar with corresponding exterior helical channels and rails whereby the blade retainer can quickly mounted onto the tool mount.

Abstract: Garden shears has a pair of overlapped engaging members, an anvil, a blade plate and two operating arms. The engaging member has a plurality of positioning apertures, at least two pivoting apertures, and a containment space. The engaging member has two parallel protruding strips which form a guiding track in between. The blade plate has a positioning slot, a blade and an extending portion. A plurality of driving teeth are formed at two sides of the extending portion. A limiting member is respectively mounted onto both sides of the extending portion and slidably engages with the guiding track of the engaging member. The operating arm has a connecting aperture at one end, and a driving portion adjacent to the connecting aperture. An arced section with the driving portion is provided with corresponding teeth, and another of the operating arm is provided with a handle.

Abstract: A folding knife includes a handle assembly and a blade with a tang mounted to the handle assembly for pivotal movement of the blade between open and closed positions. The knife includes a bolt locking assembly carried in the handle assembly for movement between a locked configuration and an unlocked configuration. The bolt locking assembly includes first and second bolts. In the locked configuration of the bolt locking assembly, the first and second bolts are in an interference position with the tang so as to prevent pivotal movement of the blade.

Abstract: A cutting apparatus includes a handle frame, a cutting blade, and a blade rotation arrangement. The cutting blade has a first blade portion and a second blade portion. The blade rotation arrangement includes a pivot, a securing frame and an actuation member. The cutting blade is arranged to rotate between a first position and a second position, wherein in the first position, the first blade portion is extended out of the receiving cavity while the second blade portion is received in the receiving cavity, wherein in the second position, the second blade portion is extended out of the receiving cavity while the first blade portion is received in the receiving cavity. The securing frame is mounted in the receiving cavity for reinforcing the cutting blade when the cutting blade move between and at the first position and the second position.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a tape holder for supporting a tape roll and cutting tape from the tape roll. The tape holder includes a first holder body and a second holder body. The first holder body has an overall ‘E’ shape and includes a cutting part which is provided on a first end of the first holder body and on which a cutter is formed to cut the tape; a support part which is provided on a second end of the first holder body to support the tape holder on a support surface; and a coupling part provided on a medial portion of the first holder body to support the tape roll. The second holder body has the same shape as that of the first holder body. The coupling parts of the first and second holder bodies are coupled to each other in a center hole of the tape roll.
