Abstract: As provided herein, a user of a client device may perform a search to generate a search results webpage. The search results webpage may be populated with links to webpages along with selection options used to selectively designate which webpages to open. The user may select one or more of the selection options, such as a first selection option for a first webpage and a third selection option for a third webpage. Accordingly, the first webpage may be presented within a first user interface tab and the third webpage may be presented within a second user interface tab (e.g., the first user interface tab may be presented within a foreground and the second user interface tab may be presented within a background based upon the user selecting the first selection option before the second selection option). In this way, the user may selectively open webpages within user interface tabs.

Abstract: A computer implemented method of controlling a slave communication device from a master communication device is provided. The method includes displaying, on a display of the master communication device, an indication of a plurality of slave devices paired with the master communication device, receiving, on the master communication device, a user selection of a slave communication device from the plurality of slave communication devices, displaying, on the master communication device, a representation of at least part of a user interface of the selected slave communication device, receiving a user interaction with the virtual phone display region, transmitting control signals on the wireless network connection to cause the selected slave communication device establish a voice call, and transmitting and receiving bi-directional audio signals to and from the slave communication device over the wireless network connection to facilitate the voice call.

Abstract: Embodiments can provide a portable computing device for pre-launching an application upon predicting that the application may be an application desired to be launched by a user. One or more application pre-launch criteria for an icon may be determined to have been satisfied when the icon is within a specified region of a display. Pre-launching the application can include loading the application into working memory while not presenting an interface associated with the application on the display of the portable computing device. When a selection of the icon is received, an interface associated with the application can be presented on the display of the portable computing device using the loaded application.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing user tagging of content within a virtual scene are described. One of the methods includes sending data for display of a virtual environment on a head-mounted display. The virtual environment includes a virtual item. The method further includes receiving an indication of a selection associated with the virtual item. The method includes sending option data for allowing entry of content regarding the virtual item upon receiving the indication of the selection, receiving the content, associating the content with the virtual item, and sending tagged data for displaying a tag associated with the virtual item.

Abstract: Disclosed is a window change control method for controlling a change in a window displayed on an operation panel, including: changing a state of the operation panel from a first state to a second state in accordance with a user's operation; measuring the first elapsed time which elapses since the state of the operation panel is changed from the first state to the second state, or the second elapsed time which elapses since a final operation is received, as a non-operation continuation time; automatically changing the state of the operation panel from the second state to the first state when the non-operation continuation time exceeds a threshold value; and changing the threshold value in accordance with a use result of the first electronic apparatus and the second electronic apparatus.

Abstract: Methods and systems are discussed herein for navigating media content using scrollable displays. For example, scrollable displays may provide an efficient user interface in order to increase the amount and type of content that can be presented to a user, particularly with regard to small displays. For example, instead of transitioning to new displays, which may require larger display screens or the removal of already presented content, the methods and systems disclosed nest scrollable displays within each other in order to enable a user to efficiently access and navigate content options without large display screen requirements.

Abstract: A system for managing multiple independent cockpit displays, comprising: first and second displays configured to receive input and display pages, the pages defined by parameters in a database; and a control system comprising a processor coupled to a memory storing the database, the processor configured to: receive a request to display a first page on the first display; retrieve a flag associated with the first page, the flag being a parameter in the database and indicating whether a page is safe or unsafe for simultaneous display and editing; retrieve group designators associated with the first page and a second page, the group designator being a parameter in the database, the group designator identifying related pages; and control display and editing of pages on the first display based on at least one of: the flag associated with the first page, and the group designators associated with the first and second pages.

Abstract: Embodiments are provided for a system, a computer program product, and/or a method that improves a display of an input selection displayed on a compact screen. To improve this display, embodiments search displayed content for input items, wherein the input items are selections inputted by a user; display different marks, each associated with each of the input items; receive a subsequent input from the user; and change a selection state of each item of the input items corresponding to a mark of the different marks in response to the subsequent input received corresponding to that mark.

Abstract: Example embodiments relate to sharing of user interface objects via a shared space in a data sharing application. In example embodiments, a data sharing application provides a shared space. A user command may then be received to transfer a respective UI object from each of a plurality of applications to the shared space. In response, each transferred UI object may be displayed within the shared space, such that each displayed UI object retains associated functionality from the corresponding application within the shared space. Finally, each UI object in the shared space may be shared with a plurality of users granted access to the shared space.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for Web page view customization. In an embodiment of the invention, a Web page view customization method includes receiving a request to load a Web page of a multiplicity of components by an end user and retrieving for the end user, a previously stored set of the components of the Web page. The method additionally includes rendering the Web page in a browser window of a Web browser of the end user so as to include based upon the previously stored set, only those of the multiplicity of components selected for inclusion while omitting from display in the Web page those of the multiplicity of components selected for exclusion.

Abstract: A digital magazine application executing on a client device is configured to receive content items from a user of the client device or from a digital magazine server, generate pages in a digital magazine by processing the received content, and provide the pages to a user of the client device. The client device generates a new personalized digital magazine for a user by enabling the user to select content items stored in the user's local storage of the client device and to create stories about the selected content items. The personalized digital magazine includes the user's own content items, corresponding stories and content items recommended by the digital magazine server, which share common characteristics with the user's own content items. The client device can also include a user's own content items into a magazine currently presented to the user.

Additional services, features and capabilities that are not provided by the core web site technology may be provided by third-party developers, to inject content and capabilities into the web site. The third-party developers may add pages inside of an existing web site to display end-user selectable elements, and to display various forms of content in web pages of the web site.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method of visualizing a dataset is implemented on a computer having memory, one or more processors, and a display. The method includes: rendering multiple objects on the display in a tiled manner, wherein each object is a visualization of a respective set of fields of the dataset and there is no overlap between the objects; in response to detecting a first user instruction, switching the rendition of at least one of the objects from the tiled manner to a floating manner; in response to detecting a second user instruction, moving a first object to a location on top of a second object, wherein the location is determined by the second user instruction such that at least a portion of the second object is covered by the first object; and in response to detecting a third user instruction, updating both the first object and the second object.
