Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method of forming a paperboard packaging container comprising a tubular paperboard container body, a container bottom and a container lid. The container body comprises a container body abutment edge at the container opening. The container body has an inner surface facing towards an inner compartment in the packaging container and an outer surface facing away from the inner compartment. The container lid comprises a lid collar having an abutment edge adapted for abutting against the container body abutment edge, and a lid plug-in portion. The plug-in portion has a side surface extending in the longitudinal direction and faces the inner surface of the container body, when the container lid is in a closed position. The lid collar is made of the same material as the container body and the lid collar is delimited from the container body by a slit or by weaking means.

Each staple opening in the plurality of staple openings houses a staple. The anvil is configured to actuate relative to the staple deck to compress tissue between the staple deck and the anvil. The staple driving mechanism is configured to actuate the first staple driver to fire a first staple of the plurality of staples against the anvil. The staple driving mechanism is further configured to actuate the second staple driver independently of the first staple driver to fire a second staple of the plurality of staples against the anvil.

Abstract: A power tool including a sensor attachment, a housing, a motor, and a power tool controller. The power tool controller is operable or configured to control power provided to the motor. The sensor attachment is coupled to the power tool's housing and includes a first non-contact sensor and a sensor controller. The sensor controller receives signals from the first non-contact sensor related to distance to a work surface and determines a fastener depth based on the signals from the first non-contact sensor. If the fastener depth is greater than or equal to a desired fastener depth, the sensor controller generates and sends a control signal to the power tool controller. In response, the power tool controller turns off or cuts power to the motor.

Abstract: A method for operating a packaging line including a packaging machine having an insertion station in which one portion is deposited on or in packaging means, a cutting machine for cutting slices from a product, including a discharge conveyor unit capable of forming the slices into portions, and an insertion/feed unit downstream in a passage direction of the cutting machine for buffering and feeding the portions to the insertion station by conveyor belts. Portions are assembled by the insertion/feed unit to a complete format having a predetermined number of portions and the complete format is fed to the insertion station by an insertion belt of the insertion/feed unit. The method includes initially assembling, on a last and/or penultimate conveyor belt of the insertion/feed unit before the insertion belt, an incomplete format, and forming the complete format from the incomplete format only upon transfer of the portions to the insertion belt.

Abstract: A method of wrapping bundles is with stretch film from a reel. Bundles include products in transit through a wrapping machine including a wrapping unit having a ring winder which rotatably arranges stretch film around the bundles. During transit through the winding unit, the stretch film is unwound from the reel and passes through a pre-stretching group which generates axial deformation of the film predetermining an elastic return quantity. The axially deformed film interfaces with a vacuum having a vacuum box producing a constant auxiliary tensional stress on the pre-stretched film equal to the head inside the vacuum box. The film is then deposited on the bundles with a constant stress residue at each point of application of the pre-stretched film after adding the constant load generated by the vacuum box, producing bundles completely wrapped with a programmed stress residue.

Abstract: The disclosed invention relates to a system and method for forming case assemblies, particularly half-slotted containers (HSCs), through an automated process. The system includes an assembly frame supporting multiple subsystems: a knock-down flat (KDF) dispenser, conveyors, an opening and folding assembly, a compression assembly, and an embedding assembly. The KDF dispenser supplies flat-packed container components to the conveyors, which transport them through the stages of the process. The opening and folding assembly opens and folds panels of the first KDF, applying adhesive to the minor panels. The compression assembly seals the folded panels, forming a base. The embedding assembly aligns and nests the sealed first KDF into a second KDF, creating a reinforced container. The system is equipped with a control module for automated operation and adjustable parameters, allowing compatibility with various container sizes and configurations.
