Abstract: A process for producing chromenes intended for the preparation of thermosetting resins, includes converting an aromatic propargyl ether of general formula (I) into a chromene by homogeneous catalysis with copper salts in anisole at a temperature between 100 and 170° C. Moreover, a process for preparing a material made of thermoset resin, includes successively a) carrying out the above process; b) polymerizing the reaction product obtained in a) so as to obtain the material made of thermoset resin; c) recovering the material made of thermoset resin obtained in b).

Abstract: Embodiments provide methods of disassembling an apparel product. The methods include exposing an adhesive of the apparel product to a composition having an acidic pH. Abstract: The invention relates to fluoropolymers that have been modified with low molecular weight, polymeric chain transfer agents, and uses of the modified fluoropolymers. The modified fluoropolymers provide enhanced properties to the fluoropolymer, such as increased adhesion, and hydrophilic characteristics. The modified functional fluoropolymers are useful in many applications, including as binders in electrode-forming compositions and separator compositions, for hydrophilic membranes and hollow fiber membranes, as an aqueous and a solvent cast coating for baked decorative and protective coatings, and as a tie layer between a fluoropolymer layer and an incompatible polymer layer.

Abstract: A method for producing a water/oil repellent composition can produce an article which is excellent in the oil repellency while maintaining the water repellency and the heavy-rain durability. The method includes mixing an emulsion of a polymer having from 10 to 50 mass % of units based on a monomer having a perfluoroalkyl group per all units and an emulsion of a monomer component containing at least 80 mass % of a monomer having a perfluoroalkyl group so that the proportion of the mass of the polymer will be from 50 to 99 mass % per the sum of the mass of the polymer and the total mass of the monomer component and then polymerizing the monomer component. The monomer component includes emulsified particles in the emulsion of the monomer component. The emulsified particles have an average particle size of from 50 to 600 nm.
