Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for a smart putter and a putter gaming system. The smart putter may be configured with a plurality of sensors. The smart putter may be configured to process information from the plurality of sensors to determine whether a stroke has been performed by a user of the smart putter. Detecting a stroke has occurred may include detecting that the smart putter has impacted a golf ball on a field of play. The smart putter may further be configured to sign-in with a track associated with the putter gaming system. The putter gaming system may be configured to perform automatic scoring based, in part, on the stroke detection performed by the smart putter. The putter gaming system may further be configured to detected when a golf ball has been holed, indicating completion of a track.

Abstract: A training baseball bat comprises (a) a bat with a cylindrical axial cavity; (b) a sealing cap arranged in and sealing the cavity at one end; and (c) a training apparatus positioned in the cavity and comprising a magnet fixed at one end of the cavity; a stopper fixed within the cavity adjacent to the sealing cap; and a cylinder slidably positioned in the cavity which, when released from the magnet, can travel the length of the cavity and contact the stopper to exert an auditory signal. The training baseball bat also includes at least two reinforcing pins arranged perpendicular to the cavity and perpendicular to and spaced from one another along the length of the cavity between the sealing cap and the stopper, each pin extending through the cavity and across a substantial portion of the diameter of the head.

Abstract: An equipment fitting system that measures swings by a user of different pieces of equipment with inertial sensors, and analyzes sensor data to recommend which piece of equipment is optimal for the user from among those tested. Illustrative applications include fitting of baseball bats and golf clubs. Swing metrics calculated from sensor data may include an acceleration metric, a speed metric, and a momentum metric; these metrics may be combined into a metrics score for each piece of equipment. Other factors may be included in an overall score, such as the user's subjective score for each piece of equipment, and ratings from experts or other consumers. Users may assign the relative importance for the different factors to calculate an overall equipment score.

A plurality of finger receptacles is disposed on the main body. Each finger receptacle of the plurality of finger receptacles has a proximal end disposed adjacent to the main body and a distal end disposed opposite the proximal end. The plurality of finger receptacles includes a thumb receptacle, a first finger receptacle, and a second finger receptacle. Each of the distal end of the thumb receptacle, the distal end of the first finger receptacle, and the distal end of the second finger receptacle are open. A sensor is disposed on the glove and is configured to monitor a release of an object to be thrown.

The stems can be threaded internally. Both the first and second anchors can be composed multiple pieces (e.g., a detachable cap, a detachable stem, or a detachable portion thereof) to provide access to an inner cavity of the respective stems.

The mirror plate is aligned with a hole or a target, and a aiming line on a golf ball is aligned with the cross-shaped aiming line.

Abstract: A baseball grip training device is provided for use with a baseball bat, comprising a base adapted to contact a bat grip, wherein the base includes one or more shaped surfaces adapted to receive one or more of an index finger and a middle finger of a user; a retaining member extending from the base shaped to surround one or more of the index finger and the middle finger of the user; and a bat contacting surface adapted to contact the bat grip, wherein the bat contacting surface and the shaped surfaces are separated by a predetermined distance to lift the index finger and the middle finger of the user away from the bat grip sufficient to place greater reliance on the remaining fingers to hold the bat grip during a swing of the bat. The device is preferably constructed from a resilient material.

Abstract: A golf swing training device attachable to a golfer's wrist. A rigid hand stop prevents the golfer's hand from bending beyond a pre-established distance or angle during a golf backswing. The rigid hand stop is configured and positioned to not interfere with, or restrict, the golfer's address of the golf ball or the early part of the backswing. The rigid hand stop allows desired movement of, and prevents undesired movement of, the golfer's rear hand (i.e., right hand for right-handed golfers and left hand for left-handed golfers) as the golfer moves from ball address through the backswing to the downswing to the impact position and finally the follow through.

Abstract: In a first aspect, a system for monitoring a swing is provided that includes (1) a swing measurement device adapted to couple to a swinging object and to output a signal indicative of a characteristic of the swinging object; (2) a wireless transmitter coupled to the swing measurement device and adapted to wirelessly transmit the signal output by the swing measurement device; and (3) a wireless device adapted to receive the wirelessly transmitted signal and to provide information regarding the swinging object based on the received signal. Abstract: A basketball dribbling training system for training a user to dribble a basketball while in motion includes a treadmill including a frame having a side edge, wherein a continuous belt is positioned on the frame. A platform has a top surface, and a vertical support is attached to and extends downwardly from the platform. The vertical support positions the platform above an upper surface of the frame, wherein the platform extends over the frame adjacent to the side edge. A connector releasably couples the vertical support to the treadmill to retain the vertical support in abutment with the treadmill such that the platform extends over the frame.

Abstract: An electronic tracking system for assisting a user in determining distances to landmarks and objects in a sporting environment includes a user tracking system for determining the location of a user, a heads up display for displaying information to the user, and a processor operable to communicate with the user tracking system and the heads up display. The heads up display is designed to be worn on the user's head, and to display an image within the user's field of view. The processor is programmed to determine a distance between the user's determined location and an object or a landmark on. This information is displayed via the heads up display as a numeric representation of the determined distance.

Abstract: A golf training aid is disclosed for use with alignment sticks. The golf training aid includes an elongate member with a longitudinal axis and a first and second set of holes. The first set of holes is space apart farther than the second set. The elongate ember also has a target alignment hole positioned in between the first and second set of holes. All the holes are constructed to receive and hold an alignment stick. The golf training aid has least two configurations: a wide hitting box configuration and a narrow box configuration.

Abstract: A miniature track assembly having a plurality of central track supports, first track support spacers, and first and second flexible track runners is described. Each track support has a body portion and an extended portion attached to the body portion, the extended portion having a first connection node and a second connection node for detachable connection with the flexible track runners. The first track support spacer is configured to attach to at least one of either a central track support from the plurality of central track supports, or a second track support spacer. The first and second flexible track runners are configured to attach to the connection nodes of the extended portion of each of the plurality of central track supports. The components provide unique design and construction advantages due to the flexible track runner.
