Abstract: An equipment fitting system that measures swings by a user of different pieces of equipment with inertial sensors, and analyzes sensor data to recommend which piece of equipment is optimal for the user from among those tested. Illustrative applications include fitting of baseball bats and golf clubs. Swing metrics calculated from sensor data may include an acceleration metric, a speed metric, and a momentum metric; these metrics may be combined into a metrics score for each piece of equipment. Other factors may be included in an overall score, such as the user's subjective score for each piece of equipment, and ratings from experts or other consumers. Users may assign the relative importance for the different factors to calculate an overall equipment score.

Abstract: A sports training device includes a glove with a main body. The main body has a palm portion and a back portion. The main body is configured to receive a hand of a user. A plurality of finger receptacles is disposed on the main body. Each finger receptacle of the plurality of finger receptacles has a proximal end disposed adjacent to the main body and a distal end disposed opposite the proximal end. The plurality of finger receptacles includes a thumb receptacle, a first finger receptacle, and a second finger receptacle. Each of the distal end of the thumb receptacle, the distal end of the first finger receptacle, and the distal end of the second finger receptacle are open. A sensor is disposed on the glove and is configured to monitor a release of an object to be thrown.

The stems can be threaded internally. Both the first and second anchors can be composed multiple pieces (e.g., a detachable cap, a detachable stem, or a detachable portion thereof) to provide access to an inner cavity of the respective stems.

Abstract: The golf putting sight includes a groove support, a first hinge; and a flat plate support. One side of the groove support is rotatably connected to the flat plate support through the first hinge. A first side of the flat plate support is rotatably connected to a base through a second hinge. A mirror plate is mounted in the groove support. Across-shaped aiming line is arranged on one side of the mirror plate. One side of the flat plate support defines a calibrating hole. A correcting line is on an upper surface of the base. When in use, through the first hinge and the second hinge, the groove support, the flat plate support, and the base are convenient to form a triangular shape. The mirror plate is aligned with a hole or a target, and a aiming line on a golf ball is aligned with the cross-shaped aiming line.

Abstract: A baseball grip training device is provided for use with a baseball bat, comprising a base adapted to contact a bat grip, wherein the base includes one or more shaped surfaces adapted to receive one or more of an index finger and a middle finger of a user; a retaining member extending from the base shaped to surround one or more of the index finger and the middle finger of the user; and a bat contacting surface adapted to contact the bat grip, wherein the bat contacting surface and the shaped surfaces are separated by a predetermined distance to lift the index finger and the middle finger of the user away from the bat grip sufficient to place greater reliance on the remaining fingers to hold the bat grip during a swing of the bat. The device is preferably constructed from a resilient material.

Abstract: In a first aspect, a system for monitoring a swing is provided that includes (1) a swing measurement device adapted to couple to a swinging object and to output a signal indicative of a characteristic of the swinging object; (2) a wireless transmitter coupled to the swing measurement device and adapted to wirelessly transmit the signal output by the swing measurement device; and (3) a wireless device adapted to receive the wirelessly transmitted signal and to provide information regarding the swinging object based on the received signal. Abstract: A golf swing training device attachable to a golfer's wrist. A rigid hand stop prevents the golfer's hand from bending beyond a pre-established distance or angle during a golf backswing. The rigid hand stop is configured and positioned to not interfere with, or restrict, the golfer's address of the golf ball or the early part of the backswing. The rigid hand stop allows desired movement of, and prevents undesired movement of, the golfer's rear hand (i.e., right hand for right-handed golfers and left hand for left-handed golfers) as the golfer moves from ball address through the backswing to the downswing to the impact position and finally the follow through.

Abstract: A basketball dribbling training system for training a user to dribble a basketball while in motion includes a treadmill including a frame having a side edge, wherein a continuous belt is positioned on the frame. A platform has a top surface, and a vertical support is attached to and extends downwardly from the platform. The vertical support positions the platform above an upper surface of the frame, wherein the platform extends over the frame adjacent to the side edge. A connector releasably couples the vertical support to the treadmill to retain the vertical support in abutment with the treadmill such that the platform extends over the frame.

Abstract: A golf training aid is disclosed for use with alignment sticks. The golf training aid includes an elongate member with a longitudinal axis and a first and second set of holes. The first set of holes is space apart farther than the second set. The elongate ember also has a target alignment hole positioned in between the first and second set of holes. All the holes are constructed to receive and hold an alignment stick. The golf training aid has least two configurations: a wide hitting box configuration and a narrow box configuration.

Abstract: An electronic tracking system for assisting a user in determining distances to landmarks and objects in a sporting environment includes a user tracking system for determining the location of a user, a heads up display for displaying information to the user, and a processor operable to communicate with the user tracking system and the heads up display. The heads up display is designed to be worn on the user's head, and to display an image within the user's field of view. The processor is programmed to determine a distance between the user's determined location and an object or a landmark on. This information is displayed via the heads up display as a numeric representation of the determined distance.

Abstract: A miniature track assembly having a plurality of central track supports, first track support spacers, and first and second flexible track runners is described. Each track support has a body portion and an extended portion attached to the body portion, the extended portion having a first connection node and a second connection node for detachable connection with the flexible track runners. The first track support spacer is configured to attach to at least one of either a central track support from the plurality of central track supports, or a second track support spacer. The first and second flexible track runners are configured to attach to the connection nodes of the extended portion of each of the plurality of central track supports. The components provide unique design and construction advantages due to the flexible track runner.

Abstract: A swing lag training device having a collar for reversible attachment to a shaft near a golf club head; an arm band for attachment above an elbow of an arm of a user; a spooling device attached to the arm band with a cord that connects the spooling device to an attachment port near the golf club head; the spooling device adapted to: 1) retract cord into the spooling device during a back swing; and 2) provide a set of audible sounds as cord is unwound as the golf club head is moved in a forward swing so that a user can train to concentrate the set of audible sounds in a late portion of in the forward swing and thus maintain swing lag during an early portion of the forward swing. The training device can be adapted for training to swing other implements beyond golf clubs.
