Abstract: A tent including a pull hub is disclosed. The pull hub may be a side pull hub that may include a pull cord having a distal end and a proximal end coupled to the hub, an upper hub element, and a lower hub element. The tent may further include a plurality of tent support poles coupled to the hub. The tent may further include a fabric material coupled to the support poles. The side-pull hub may include an opening on a side of the hub through which the distal end of the pull cord is passed through to facilitate tent erection by moving the upper and lower hub element together upon user actuation.

Abstract: An umbrella includes (a) a rod assembly including a plurality of rods; (b) a canopy connected to the rod assembly and movable between an open position in which the canopy is deployed and a closed position in which the canopy is retracted; (c) a stationary handgrip connected to the rod assembly for grasping the umbrella; (d) a trigger assembly that is releasably connected to at least one rod of the rod assembly, wherein, upon actuation of the trigger assembly, the trigger releases the at least one rod of the rod assembly which deploys and causes the canopy to move from the closed position to the open position; and (e) a handle movable with respect to the handgrip and connected to the rod assembly, the handle being translatable to move the canopy from the open position to the closed position.

Abstract: A shelter including an enclosure having a plurality of interconnected side walls defining a floor space and being connected to a top wall, with at least one of the side walls or the top wall including a panel construction comprising a flame resistant insulated fabric, the flame resistant insulated fabric including a flame resistant outer layer, a flame resistant inner layer, an insulating middle layer disposed between and adhesively bonded to the flame resistant outer layer and the flame resistant inner layer. Also disclosed is a method of making a shelter including forming the flame resistant insulated fabric.

Abstract: A portable collapsible drink cabana. The cabana consists of a frame work that is covered in material suitable for protecting drinks from the sun, and other materials, that are in use in a beach or outdoor setting. The expandable cabana is supported by the frame work that is supported by at least one interior shelf.

Abstract: A collapsible support and shopping walker includes eight tubes of equal length that pivot in eight corner supports forming four cross braces. This four-sided cage can then flex in one direction from being fully collapsed to fully extended. Flexible fabric is attached across four corners to this cage allowing it to open about half-way between the collapsed state and full extension and can now be used as a seat. Collapsible diagonal supports, hinged at each end, form a “spider” which provides stability and enables easy opening and closing of the cage by moving the spider head up and down. In order to provide a stable chair or walker the spider must be lockable with the seat in the open position. This is arranged by letting the spider over toggle which stretches the fabric fully and tightens all the joints of the chair.

Abstract: A solar charging umbrella uses solar power to charge electronic devices. The umbrella is self-sustained, capable of charging electronic devices in locations away from electrical outlets. The umbrella has a rechargeable battery that is recharged by sunlight. When charged, the umbrella's battery can charge devices when sunlight is not available. The umbrella supports simultaneous charging of high power devices such as tablet computers.

Abstract: The present invention relates to shock absorber insert for retro fitment into the body of an existing walking aid, such as a crutch, to dampen the impact force between the walking aid and a ground surface. Known shock absorbing walking aids can be relatively expensive to manufacture, heavy to use and do not provide for adjustment of the shock absorber. The shock absorber insert (1) of the present invention comprises a piston cylinder (11) with an end wall (11A); a piston (5) which moves axially within the piston cylinder (11) and a damper (10) located on a piston rod (9) and abut the end wall (11A) to reduce the speed of movement of the piston rod (9) within the piston cylinder (11). The shock absorber insert is either mid mounted between an upper (2) and lower (3) shaft or bottom mounted into a lower end of the lower (3) shaft.

Abstract: An easy to use, universal, simple, lightweight, compact, portable and modular system of concealment and shelter. An operator can configure a number of concealment blinds or shelters using brackets, supports, segmented shafts, covers, curtains, and skirts, and more complex modules. The segmented shafts have both the ability to make an attachment to retain a particular configuration while being able to break down the shafts for transportation or storage. The brackets and supports can be used to secure a configuration to a tree, the ground, or a hand held device. More advanced modules include cover caps including domes, cylindrical arches, and pyramids. A configuration can include a removable floor. Guyline modules allow for sliding panels to be positioned over openings in a configuration. The system can be configured for placement on a hillside or over rough terrain and obstacles.

Abstract: The invention provides an umbrella for attachment to a stroller that is large enough to protect the caregiver wheeling the stroller, carriage, or wheelchair from rain, wind and precipitation. The umbrella is wind proof, and attaches to the stroller by clamping its central shaft to the stroller. A counterweight is attached to the handle end of the central shaft. The umbrella has a double layered canopy that allows wind to pass through without inverting the umbrella, and may have a telescoping shaft to permit it to be stored compactly.
