  • Patent number: 7299770
Abstract: An engine is cooled using high pressure water injected into the piston with the water converted to high pressure steam by the heat from combustion with heat transfer taking place in passages in the piston and in and between grooves in the piston and the cylinder sleeve. The high pressure steam is conducted between the piston and cylinder walls to lubricate, so there will be no need for piston rings, with a part of it passing into the crankcase, and a part of it going into the combustion chamber where it contributes to power production. The piston skirt has a spring-loaded washer access to a void in a lower passage for balancing pressures.

  • Patent number: 7293542
Abstract: The motor according to the present invention consists of a piston (1), cylinder (2), connecting rod (3), connecting rod rotary bolt gear wheel (4), connecting rod rotary bolt (5), crank shaft (6), crank shaft bolt (7), double faced gear wheel (9) and other gear wheels (10, 11, 12). As the connecting rod (3) is moved by the connecting rod rotary bolt gear wheel (4) that moves together with the connecting rod rotary bolt (5), without being directly dependent on the movement of the crank shaft bolt (7) although the connecting rod (3) is connected to the crank shaft (6) and to the piston (1); the crank shaft (6) moves independently of the connecting rod (3). This provides the difference between the travel path of the piston (1) between the lower and upper dead points, and the rotational diameter of the crank shaft bolt (7). In this case, the connecting rod (3) makes an elliptical movement on the crank shaft bolt (7) instead of a circular movement.

  • Patent number: 7293534
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a premixed charge compression ignition (PCCI) engine. The PCCI engine has a fuel injector (22) in a suction manifold (8) to prepare a premixed charge of fuel and air and induces a natural ignition of the premixed charge in a combustion chamber (20) of a high temperature and high pressure. The PCCI engine further includes a structurally improved connecting rod which has a spring operated in organic conjunction with the other elements of the PCCI engine. The present invention further provides a PCCI reciprocating generator that is fabricated by a combination of a reciprocating generator unit with the PCCI engine, so that the PCCI reciprocating generator operates with improved operational efficiency. In the present invention, two PCCI engines may be arranged to symmetrically face each other, thus providing a multiple PCCI engine.

  • Patent number: 7281500
Abstract: A supplementary slurry fuel atomizer of this invention, when used on a piston internal combustion engine, equipped with a common rail fuel injection system, improves slurry atomization, following injection, by expansion of gases, previously dissolved in the water phase of the slurry. This gas expansion separates the several fuel particles in each slurry droplet formed first during fuel injection. The thusly separated fuel particles subsequently burn more rapidly and completely, due to this fuel particle separation improving air access to the fuel. Apparatus is described for dissolving atomizing gas into the water phase of the slurry, in a contactor chamber at a pressure greater than the pressure prevailing in the engine cylinder volume, at the time of slurry injection.
