  • Patent number: 10007357
Abstract: A method for recognizing a press of a key by a small force on a slim portable keyboard for use with a smart phone, a tablet PC, a general PC, or a notebook computer. A special-key press processing unit processes a press of a plurality of special keys. A plurality of general-key press processing units process a press of a plurality of general keys. A set number of general keys are configured to be one block. The keyboard is slim and can be conveniently carried. The keyboard includes a plurality of special key resistances and a plurality of general key resistances, each of which is proportional to a pressure caused by a press, to recognize a press of a key even when the key is pressed by a small force.

  • Patent number: 9984573
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to one or more systems, methods, and/or devices for an advanced warning system that alerts drivers of potential upcoming traffic conditions (e.g., accidents or traffic slowdowns) based on active monitoring of vehicle parameters (e.g., speed, braking, air bag deployment, etc.) associated with other vehicles traveling ahead in the same direction. Thus, in some aspects, the advanced warning system may receive, at a network device (e.g., network management center (NMC)), one or more parameters from a first mobile computing platform (MCP) associated with a first vehicle and determine, at the network device, whether a traffic condition has developed on a stretch of highway based on the one or more parameters.

  • Patent number: 9961419
Abstract: A communication apparatus includes: a data generating unit that generates write data to be sent to any other communication apparatus at an arbitrary timing; a communication unit that repeatedly sends a read request to the other communication apparatus until the write data is generated and, at the same time, repeatedly receives a read response sent from the other communication apparatus in response to the read request; and a data acquisition unit that acquires read data, which is sent along with the read response by the other communication apparatus, when the read data is generated at an arbitrary timing by the other communication apparatus.

  • Patent number: 9950693
Abstract: A wireless communication system includes an in-vehicle device mounted on a vehicle; and a portable device that can be carried by a user. The in-vehicle device includes a first sending unit configured to intermittently and wirelessly send an identification code of the vehicle or the in-vehicle device; and a detection unit configured to detect a presence of the portable device by receiving a response signal wirelessly sent from the portable device. The portable device includes a receiving antenna configured to receive the identification code; a first verification unit configured to verify the identification code, received by the receiving antenna, with a code registered in the portable device; and a sending control unit configured to wirelessly send the response signal if the verification by the first verification unit is successful and not to send the response signal if the verification by the first verification unit is not successful.
