  • Patent number: 10163101
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a transaction network that facilitates and simplifies purchase transactions between any number of customers and any number of merchants. The transaction network is primarily utilized in the sale and purchase of digital content via a network such as the Internet. The transaction network registers and authenticates customer purchase activities and maintains customer account data including payment information. Once registered, a customer will generally not register again for further purchase activities at participating merchant sites. Additionally, the transaction network provides a single, central authentication mechanism for all participating merchant sites using a single customer identifier and password. Further, the transaction network accumulates purchase information across all of the merchant sites and the ultimate payment processing of those purchase transactions.

  • Patent number: 10115162
Abstract: A system of optimizing a target result receives, by a client input server, a target result from a user, where the target result comprises at least one of a goal, and a statistical probability that the target result is achievable, and where the target result is to be achieved during a time period. The system compiles, by an output server, an interactive strategy comprising a timeline to achieve the target result. The system optimizes at least a portion of the interactive strategy by modeling at least one future performance model associated with the target result, and determining an optimal strategy for the target result comprising a target result value. The system renders the optimized interactive strategy, the statistical probability, and the target result for the user on a real-time interactive display, where the statistical probability is predictive of achieving the target results.

  • Patent number: 10115108
Abstract: Techniques of identifying fraud detection rule strength involve varying the rendering of a graph from transaction data. Along these lines, a rules server computer provides a general graph from a group of transaction entries defining a group of fraudulent and authentic transactions on an electronic display. A user defines selection criteria that the rules server computer applies to the group of transaction entries to generate a subgroup of transaction entries. From the subgroup of transaction entries, the rules server computer provides a focused graph on the electronic display from the subgroup of transaction entries defining a subgroup of the group of fraudulent and authentic transactions. A ratio of the number of fraudulent transactions to the number of authentic transactions represented in the focused graph identifies the strength of the selection criteria for use in a fraud detection rule.

  • Patent number: 9940673
Abstract: The systems and methods described herein can identify meaningful relationships between variables, such as particular investments or general asset classes. Unlike conventional correlation analysis, these systems and methods provide an improved technique of comovement analysis that implements a threshold to eliminate data “noise” and then discretizes the remaining observations to normalize any outliers. Such comovement analysis has numerous advantages over known techniques for characterizing relationships between variables. In some embodiments, this improved comovement analysis can be used to calculate a covariance matrix for purposes of mean-variance optimized portfolio construction.

  • Patent number: 9922323
Abstract: A system and method for automatically comparing obtained wireless device location information from a wireless network and comparing that location with another independent source geographic location is provided. Location information is derived from two or more sources in a multiplicity of ways and a comparison is made within a Location Comparison Engine. The Location Comparison Engine makes use of databases that assist in resolving obtained raw positioning information and converting that positioning information into one or more formats for adequate location comparison. Results of location comparison are deduced to determine if the wireless device is in some proximity to some other activity source location. Other location information used for comparison may be obtained from a multiplicity of sources, such as another network based on some activity of wireless device user, another wireless device via a wireless network, or any system capable of providing location information to the Location Comparison Engine.

  • Patent number: 9892400
Abstract: Technology is disclosed for generating and sending invitations to recipients who have not enrolled in or associated with a convenient money transfer service that does not require any account login and/or creation activities. The disclosed technology enables a sender to transfer a specified amount of currency to one or more recipients through a payment application. The system verifies, based on the sender's existing contact information, whether the recipients have existing accounts associated with the payment application. The system then generates an invitation list. The system relies on the invitation list to send invitations to those recipients who haven't been associated with the payment application to download the payment application, enroll in payment service associated with the payment application, and/or associate their payment information with the payment application.

Additionally, when a single use or limited use credit card is used for “card present” transactions, so called “skimming” fraud is eliminated. Various other features enhance the credit card system, which will allow secure trade without the use of elaborate encryption techniques. Methods for limiting, distributing and using a limited use card number, controlling the validity of a limited use credit card number, conducting a limited use credit card number transaction and providing remote access devices for accessing a limited use credit card number are also provided.
